If you aren't reading those two Modern AU stories, but you're here for the Skysolo and the Han/Leia, then you can skip the prologue without losing any of the actual plot of the story.

Qui-Gon hears something in Din’s voice, that little bit of lust that makes Qui-Gon believe that Din is more than a bit turned on by Luke’s almost-history with his brother-in-law.

"Sure, why not." Luke shrugs. "Can’t promise that you won’t fall asleep, though. It’s not that exciting."
