Neal discovered the small, abandoned corridor one afternoon when he was bored stupid and terminally curious. Lauren had asked him to fetch a file because she was an agent and he was something less than the crud on the bottom of her shoes.
This wasn't the first time he'd noticed the doorway, but it was the first time he was in the file room alone. A few seconds with a pair of lock picks and the door was open. If Neal was expecting a room filled with secret treasure, he was bound for disappointment. All he found was a ten-foot stretch of corridor that went nowhere. Overlooked in several renovations, the space was dark - lit by a single incandescent fixture. The wallpaper wasn't wallpaper, but faux wood panelling that wasn't even stylish when it was new.
But Neal wasn't disappointed. Because this space was treasure. The rest of the offices were a delight to the senses - bright, transparent and open to everyone. Not even Hughes' office had blinds to block out prying eyes.
Neal turned off the light and went back into the file room, locking the door behind him. This would be the perfect place to seduce Peter.
He planned that seduction with all the care he used to give to museum heists and bond forgeries. But the biggest stumbling block was how to get him into the file room in the first place. It wasn't as if Peter fetched his own files. There were probies and clerks and interns and Neal Caffrey to handle such mundane tasks.
In the end, Neal just went with a classic - "I've got something to show you."
Lips bruised, cock hard, Neal couldn't help but think there was a good reason the classics never went out of style.
