The title is from a traditional Appalachian bluegrass murder song and should not be confused the W.B. Yeats poem, Down by the Salley Gardens.

Friends, my apologies for not getting out another update for over a week. I’ve been under the weather and just a little lazy.

Anyway, Promptest VI - Summertime Madness is still going strong. Since last Thursday night’s update, we have another 61 new stories. Usually, my own timing is better and I’m writing up a storm of responses, but I got hit with a summer cold that’s just about knocked me flat today. My imagination is taking a backseat to a rather raging headache. But never fear, I will respond, fill and reprompt every one of you. And if I haven't commented, I will do so soon too.
