Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Judgment Day, the Season 3 finale, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. Hard to believe that we've made it through all of the first three seasons on the community rewatch. We started this to get us through the long hiatus between the end of season four and the start of season five, and this week, we're looking at the finale of Season Five… Timing is everything, as Mozzie might say.

In case you’ve never joined us before, the rewatch works this... )

The scheduled start time tonight is 9:00 PM EDT/6:00 PM PDT/2:00 AM GMT (that's Tuesday morning for those on the other side of the Pond). Come early and hang out with us or stay late and chat and maybe word war.

Every child deserves to know the truth about his family

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Stealing Home, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. We've got a lot going on tonight – the supersexy Gordon Taylor tempts Neal into a possible life of crime, Mozzie gets to work his genius with the Babe, Neal is particularly impressive with his stick handling, and Peter gets to live his boyhood dream.

Do I have to remind everyone to remember the new time? We’ve changed the time and day to accommodate several loyal participants who have conflicts on Tuesdays for the foreseeable future.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Pulling Strings, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC.

Peter hands Neal off to Sara and goes home to wear ugly sweaters and do battle with his father-in-law. Neal learns that Sara didn’t sit at home when Neal was in Cape Verde. She went out and got herself a fiancé. Who is a bad ass martial arts master and international businessman of mystery. His name is Brian. We also learn that El’s father’s name is Alan but her mother apparently doesn’t have a first name. They are from Illinois. And Mozzie gets invited into the Burkes’ bedroom.

Do I have to remind everyone to remember the new time - we’ve changed the time and day to accommodate several loyal participants who have conflicts on Tuesdays for the foreseeable future.

The expression on the doll’s face pretty much sums up my feelings about this episode. Satchmo had the right idea, bury it in the backyard.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Neighborhood Watch, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. Objectively, I should love this episode…Neal undercover as an unreformed parolee, Joe Manganiello (Matt Bomer’s best buddy) as the bad guy, a very well-lit strip club, Neal reminiscing with Moz on their own version of a stakeout, and Vincent Adler (okay, Andrew McCarthy) directing. But, alas, it’s not a fav.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Upper West Side Story, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. This is definitely one of my all time top-ten episodes, and maybe in my top five. Peter and Neal are back in the saddle, there are Hogwarts references, Neal in Glasses, Peter in Vest, hijinks galore and EVERYONE is on the same page.

Do I have to remind everyone to remember the new time - we’ve changed the time and day to accommodate several loyal participants who have conflicts on Tuesdays for the foreseeable future.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Checkmate, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. We were left hanging, with Elizabeth kidnapped, Neal and Moz going their separate ways, and Peter absolutely devastated.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Countdown, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. This is the stupendous mid-season finale, where Mozzie fantasizes about a life in Hawaiian shirts, Keller eats a mango and Neal jumps off a building.

COMMUNITY REWATCH

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of On The Fence, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. This is the one where Neal pulls a fast one on Peter, Keller pulls a gun on Neal, and Moz pulls out the Degas and buys a death.

COMMUNITY REWATCH - NEW NIGHT - NEW TIME

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of As You Were, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. We get some lovely Jones backstory here, some even lovelier Neal-Jones bonding, and even more lovelier Jones Badassery. Plus Neal in a uniform that’s almost as good as the mess dress in Master Plan.

COMMUNITY REWATCH - NEW NIGHT - NEW TIME

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Taking Account, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. This is the one where Sara moves in, Peter makes some REALLY bad jokes at Neal’s expense, and Moz finally Gets Some.

COMMUNITY REWATCH - NEW NIGHT - NEW TIME

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Scott Free, which will begin at 9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC. Not a particularly favorite episode of mine, but one to get drunk to, none the less. Take a sip every time Neal gets annoyed! Get drunk before the end of the first half! Take another sip for every plot hole and give yourself alcohol poisoning! Okay, okay – there are some redeeming moments, such as Neal’s talk of addiction and hitting rock bottom. And the reference to King Richard (a lovely nod to Tim’s turn in Lion in Winter).

Remember the new time - we’ve changed the time and day to accommodate several loyal participants who have conflicts on Tuesdays for the foreseeable future.

A very not-all-that-late signal boosting for tonight’s scheduled community rewatch of Veiled Threat, a/k/a The One Where Peter Tangos and Elizabeth gets unreasonably jealous. We will be starting promptly at9 PM EASTERN/6 PM PACIFIC.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Dentist of Detroit, which will begin at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM PACIFIC. This is one of my all-time favorite episodes. There are so many wonderful moments, I can’t begin to enumerate them, but all I can say is “When your hot wife gets lonely, tell her to call me.”

COMMUNITY REWATCH - NEW NIGHT - NEW TIME

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Deadline, which will begin at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM PACIFIC. This is Diana's chance to shine, complete with a Manchester (Yorkie) accent, Peter steals (!) a Supiku-Bot, and Clinton dons a cowboy hat. We also get to meet (for the first and only time), Diana's girlfriend, Christie.

Signal boosting tonight’s (Monday) scheduled community rewatch of Where There’s a Will, which will begin at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM PACIFIC where we get to see Peter geek out with puzzles and sextants. I love the poster for Season 4, but I'm not sure that it's a new picture. The pose and positioning of Matt's hands looks almost identical to the semi-profiles in the "Chose a Side" campaign for Season 3.

What say you?

Summary: Despite the address, Paris is not his home. But it could be with the right people.

A/N: Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] rabidchild67 for the idea to set this in Paris, and to give me a connection back to June. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] elainasaunt for the information about the 7th arrondissement in Paris.

Cheerleading and Beta credit: [livejournal.com profile] coffeethyme4me. Words really cannot express my gratitude to this lovely woman – I was stalled so many times I didn’t think I could finish it. She held my hand, encouraged me and made this story what it was. Thank you, dearest.

One final note. There have been quite a few excellent fix-it and episode tags for Judgment Day, including this one - The Mended Heart, by my pal [livejournal.com profile] rabidchild67. There are a few similarities between her fic and mine. Other than RC’s original suggestion about setting this in Paris, we didn’t collab or confer at all. There’s a reason why RC is my braintwin.

It’s been ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO DAYS since Elizabeth Burke was kidnapped. Which equals:

23 weeks
3888 hours
233,280 minutes
13,996,800 seconds

Come on, folks … that’s a little much, wouldn’t you say?

My dearest and bestest friend, [livejournal.com profile] jrosemary is on pins and needles about the possible demise of Matthew Keller, Kidnapper of Burkes extraordinaire. I’m terrified that the bromance is completely and irreparably broken, a fear shared by many a fangirl.

For the first time, I’ve kept myself as spoiler free as possible - which has been difficult, given the sheer amount of clips and script pages and photos that have been released, not to mention the spoilery reviews and even what Tatt DeBomer has been talking about. And TBH, I am almost afraid to watch - because what I have seen, doesn’t make me happy.

I watch, not for the plot - but for the relationship between Peter and Neal - and that has taken such a beating, I am terrified that it will never recover.

We’re almost there, folks…

Remember - the Dish is a wank-free zone, keep it happy, keep it fun. Bashing is verboten.

Spoilers, naturally, are under the cut )

I can’t believe it, but there is just two episodes left - On The Fence and next week’s episode. Where has time gone?

I am probably going to get annoyed at parts of this episode. I’ve got more than a little familiarity with ancient Egyptian artifacts, and I am pretty sure that they are going to get it wrong. But we’ve got Keller and that always makes for an entertaining

Also, right now - I am not a fan of Mozzie right now. In fact, I find I am rather hating him - at least based on the promo clips. If he wants to go, then he should just GO! Let Neal make up his own mind.

Hrmph. Of course I don’t really hate Mozzie, I just well - hate what he’s doing to Neal, dragging him down into the dark pits of hell. Or back to prison.

Here we go folks -

Beans are being spilt. Nazi and otherwise. )

This has been one of the longest weeks of my life that (thankfully) hasn't involved hospitals or funerals.  I've gone into detail elsewhere, so I'm not going to bore you here, but in the words of the late, great Madeline Kahn, I'm soooo tired.

But not too tired for WHITE COLLAR!!!!!!!!!

About five minutes and counting...see you on the other side, my friends.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] doctor_fangeek  for alerting me to this.

It seems that Jeff Eastin and the White Collar writers have taken quite a beating on Twitter over the origins of the Nazi treasure. Like me, the fans are very perturbed that Neal and Moz have no obvious regrets about taking art that was stolen from the Nazi's victims, Jewish or otherwise.

Back in March after the S2 finale,  [livejournal.com profile] jrosemary and I did a point-counterpoint in  White Collar Fixation regarding this issue.   I was outraged. I still am.

But apparently, the art was not stolen from individuals. Jim Campolongo has tweeted an explanation.

Since this is potentially a huge spoiler, I've put it under the cut. )

Tim DeKay talking about Season 3

Last week, there were links all over the place to Matt's Season 3 Interview for USA Networks. It was a terrific interview - and it's always a treat to see and hear Matt talk about his character, but by and large, there was no new information in it. By the time that interview had been released, we pretty much knew where the character was going - given all the promotional efforts featuring the gorgeous "Choose a Side" graphic.

Personally, as a major Tim DeKay fan (I am more of a Peter than Neal person - but I'm a Mozzie person most of all), I've been a little annoyed at the lack of appearances and interest in Tim and his point of view. But yesterday, I had gone to the USA White Collar Site looking for anything new to push to White Collar Fixation and I found a page full interviews with Tim DeKay. Most of them were from the start of Season 2, but there was one for Season 3. And boy - what an interview it was!

He really doesn't go into the storylines at all - rather, Tim gives us a more psychological view of the relationship. He uses the "L" word, which makes my heart just sing (love - not lesbian). He also employs a father/son analogy too when describing Peter and Neal's relationship.

Head on over to the USA Network's White Collar site and watch it now.

If you (like me) have had serious concerns about the bromance after the end of S2, this will make you feel a whole lot better.

The advanced screening for the Season 3 Premier last night on Pier 46 in Hudson River Park was, in a word, excellent. The day was blessed by the gods, there was free food, beverages, tee shirts, magazines. The chairs were mostly comfortable, the crowd was into it - mellow and happy. But it wasn't a crush scene at all. All in all, very metro New York.

Sadly, Tatt DeBomer wasn't there.

The episode itself was terrific. Tightly scriped, well played, no stupid gimmicks (you all know how I felt about the finale of Season 2, right?). My buddy, [livejournal.com profile] jrosemary, has an excellent analysis / initial thoughts post on White Collar Fixation as well as her LJ (will link when I can access). It's not full of serious spoilers - but there are some.

I'm not ready to do an analysis - I think I'm going to take a while and digest. But if you want serious spoilers, I'm happy to provide. Click at you're own risk. )
