Meme: Date Me (Year Two)

Well, to be completely accurate, it it either just passed or is tomorrow - so I'm splitting the difference. You see, my first fandom post (and go read it if you want a laugh at my expense) occured on February 26, 2010 and my very first fanfic was published on March 9, 2010.
For the second year, I want to celebrate this dubiously momementous occasion much in the same way I celebrated my first anniversary (and the way I expect to celebrate all my fandom anniversaries).
I would like everyone on my flist to pick a two dates between February 26, 2011 and March 7, 2012, and ask me about what I posted that day and why. I am asking for two dates in case one of the days you pick (which should be at random - don't look at my calendar) was a date that I did not post anything. If you're lucky, you may pick a date with multiple postings! If both dates are empty, I'll let you know, and if both dates have postings, I'll comment on both!
You may get some DVD commentary out of it, or a reassessment on a life issue, or something altogether completely different.

"We Love the Women That Fandom Hates" is a multifandom appreciation meme run by

The rules are simple - you sign up at the site (link above) for any one of the ladies listed (or you can request to have a character added) and for each day of the meme, you post an appreciation for that character. Your appreciation can be anything - picspam, meta, quotation, fanfic, etc. akzseinga started this to counteract misogyny in the Polish fandom, but she's expanded it to all languages, and frankly I think we need it.I've signed up to appreciate Sara (and made the banner to boost the signal in the White Collar fandom), and there is room for four more Sara Ellis fans (five fans per character per language) at the time of this boost. Sara is the only White Collar character listed, but I am certain that Lauren Cruz could use some love, as well as Kate Moreau and Alex Hunter.

Friends, I am sorry that it's taken so long to finish this write up. Friday was DAY FROM HELL at work, and I barely had 5 minutes to call my own, let alone a block of time long enough to organize the rest of my thoughts. This weekend was taken up with finishing the Leather!Kink piece that I submitted to FicFinishing (it's done and in beta, whew!) and a little downtime from the writing. I did buy a white linen trilby at a craft show...and I admit to doing it because it was tres Neal...and I look pretty good in hats.

New Meme - A Fandom Dinner Party
May. 18th, 2010 05:05 pmI've officially gone over the edge now...I'm starting my own meme. Hope you all want to play.
The premise is this:
You are hosting or attending a dinner party attended by all of the characters from one of your favorite fandoms. All you have to do is write a drabble of dialogue between some of those characters at the party - a couple of paragraphs. It could be anything - comments about the food, the decor, gossip about the host, or even a crossover discussion ("did you hear what character x did?) or even treat another show as a tv program (did you watch Y last week, can you believe they killed off Z?).
If you want to write porn -- that's wonderful too - but be prepared for your characters to get caught in the act. Participants should be prepared for comment fic - continuing the dialogue or cutting it off, or changing the direction completely.
Feel free to respond as many times as you want - with new dialogue and comment dialogue.
Please comment below if you want to host a fandom Dinner Party, and I'll add you to the master list - all you have to do then is start the party in your fandom .
