I missed doing the post ep dish last week. Vacation was fun, but there are some things that absolutely need to take precedence over vacation - and first run eps of White Collar is one of them.
I still haven't fully digested last week's ep - it needs a complete rewatch because I was really kind of half asleep when I watched it. There was a lot of pretty, a lot of info, and a few things that made other people unhappy. Hopefully in this ep, there will be a lot of pretty, a lot of info and nothing to upset the thinking class.
In the news - I don't know how to feel about Hilarie Burton's elevation as a regular cast member. I've decided I don't really hate her - and I do like the dialogue, but I am afraid that she'll be shoehorned in to the detriment of the greater relationship between Peter and Neal (canonical), and Diana and Jones (and quite perhaps Mozzie and El) will be sacrificed to make room for her. I don't really want to get into the discussion here, but I guess it's inevitable that we will. I don't hate her on principle - but I don't think she's either necessary or an improvement. And I also fear that giving Neal a permanent love interest is more of a sop to middle America threatened by a gay man in a starring role in a hit series than a true attempt to advance a character driven show.
Jeez - and I really expect you not to comment on this?
Oh, well. Almost time for Countermeasures. And is it really a spoiler that Lando Calrissian is playing the jazz trumpet?
Here we go - See you on the other side.
( Spoilers are under the cut...you know the drill. )Okay, flist and other fans - what are your thinky and not so thinky thoughts?
My opinion - this was, from top to bottom - the best episode of the season.
Do you concur?
