Author’s Notes: Part IV of this series was written for secretsolitaire, who guessed my favorite line from “Take a Seat, Mr. Caffrey” (that's in Part III of that story). I offered her the fic of her choice, and she asked for something domestic, warm and angst free (but with plenty of good sex). I replied with something about a bit of “domestic tranquility.” Then I GOT AN IDEA…which turned into this series.  Since none of the individual fics really relate to each other, and all of them together make for a long and unwieldy read, I've decided to post them separately (I'm really, truly not trying to be a feedback whore).

And speaking of that, I love getting your feedback, and delight in having a dialogue with my readers. I like knowing what works and doesn’t work for you, so if you have the time – please let me know.  I will certainly reply with copious detail.

New Meme - A Fandom Dinner Party

I've officially gone over the edge now...I'm starting my own meme.  Hope you all want to play.

The premise is this:
 
You are hosting or attending a dinner party attended by all of the characters from one of your favorite fandoms.  All you have to do is write a drabble of dialogue between some of those characters at the party - a couple of paragraphs.  It could be anything - comments about the food, the decor, gossip about the host, or even a crossover discussion ("did you hear what character x did?) or even treat another show as a tv program (did you watch Y last week, can you believe they killed off Z?).

If you want to write porn -- that's wonderful too - but be prepared for your characters to get caught in the act.  Participants should be prepared for comment fic - continuing the dialogue or cutting it off, or changing the direction completely.

Feel free to respond as many times as you want - with new dialogue and comment dialogue.

Please comment below if you want to host a fandom Dinner Party, and I'll add you to the master list - all you have to do then is start the party in your fandom .  Please include your LJ user name and your fandom.  Don't worry if your fandom's already got one dinner party going...just go and give a drabble and an invite to YOUR OWN party.

Hosting end June 30th.  Dinner party hosts are then encouraged to collect all of the comment drabbles and post them as a complete fic within their fandom.

This Good Day Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

Today was a good day...the shitstorm at work didn't materialize and the writing mojo seems to be back.

But even better, just found out that White Collar will be doing a Paley Center event in New York City, and I got a ticket!

June 1 at 6:30 pm.  Be prepared for major squeelage, peeps!

Okay...that was completely bizarre.

One moment, I'm listening to the soothing sounds of Kourosh Dini - an album appropriately called "Calm" and then the next thing I know...Depeche Mode (Sounds of the Universe) is playing.

That will teach me to listen from the master music list when it's sorted by "Most Recently Added."

I AM SO CONFUSED AND FRIGHTENED...MUSIC SHOULDN'T DO THAT TO ME.

Going back to my Annie and my Oysterband and my French Romantics.  They don't mess with my head.
