Because I just happened to read
augustbird 's post, I find myself contractually obligated to do this meme...
001. what songs are you currently addicted to?
Ouchies...lots and lots of Annie Lennox. Pretty much the entire Bare album - Especially "Wonderful" and the last Eurhythmics CD - Peace. Plus a new discovery - Vienna Teng (thanks to <lj user=gyzym>, and some recent Magnatune finds, particularly Brad Senne. The entire Oysterband discography. Alan Hovanhess, Philip Glass, Prokofiev
002. what are you currently reading?
I just finished rereading, for the first time in about 20 years, the original Dragonrider trilogy (because, for some reason I see Peter as a Bronze Rider and Neal as a Harper turned Green Rider, and El as a Queen Rider).
003. what was the last movie you saw?
Iron Man 2 - in IMAX. First movie I've seen in a movie theater in about a year. Watched Sherlock Holmes on DVD before that.
004. what makes you angriest/most frustrated right now?
The really stupid people in my office.
005. favorite book and why?
Fiction - The Curse of Chalion, Lois McMaster Boujold, closely followed by the Riddle Master Trilogy by Patricia McKillip. Exceptionally original and lyrical prose that tells a great story at the same time.
Non-Fiction - Anything by Bill Bryson. He makes me laugh and then teaches me something.
006. what are your current addictions?
My iPad
My iPhone
Writing White Collar Fic (odd that I more addicted to fandom than the show...may have something to do with waiting for season 2 to start).
White Collar
007. what is your favorite t-shirt?
I don't wear t-shirts, but I still have the one I bought at the 1982 Simon & Garfunkel Concert in Central Park. Don't wear it.
008. something about you that most people don't know? extra points if it's interesting.
I drove 100 mph (not exaggerating) down the San Francisco Peaks (8500 feet above sea level), outside of Flagstaff, AZ in a pouring rainstorm - one lane road, each way and zero visibility. This was in a day that I drove 600 miles from St. George in Utah to Phoenix, AZ, via Joshua Tree Back Country and Zion National Park (two places that are not logically connected)
009. what was the last thing you bought?
Besides dinner (Chinese) and postage? Mailing supplies at Staples.
010. do you have more friends online or off?
About the same - and I cherish both types.
011. something that made you laugh today?
There was something, but I can't remember it.
012. favorite non-alcoholic beverage?
Seltzer and Grapefruit Juice or an Arnold Palmer (Ice Tea and Lemonade)
013. what was the last thing you ate?
The chinese food I had for dinner.
014. what are your current favorite pairings?
Neal/Peter/Elizabeth
015. favorite website?
New York Times
016. what are your plans for tomorrow?
Work, terminate someone's ass. Finish my current fic.
017. what kind of music is contained in your hard drive?
Oh god...too many genres to name. African (Sacred and Secular), Asian - Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Shakuhachi, Classical, Romantics, Baroque, Renaissance, Medieval (sacred and profane), Gregorian Chant (the real stuff), Celtic in all flavors - Irish, Scottish, Bretange, Cape Breton, Brythonic, Galic, English, French Canadian, Choral (Sacred and very Profane), English Punk Rock, Indie Singer-Songwriters, UMTEENMILLION versions of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Faure's Requiem Mass; Yiddish, Klezmer, Yiddish Reggae, Rock n Roll, British Invasion and probably nothing that hit the charts after 1988 (except the Eurthymics, Annie Lennox and Billy Joel).
And probably a lot of other shit I can't be bothered to note down at the moment.
018. favorite color?
To wear - Black
To create in - Orange
019. pet peeve?
Stupid People
020. guilty pleasure?
Cuteoverload.com, Failblog.com, Demotivators.com
