It's been two-plus weeks of non-stop writing for the participants of Prompfest IX. And as much fun as it's been, it's time to officially close the books on this 'fest.

Day Fourteen – Sixteen Total: 15 New Stories, 96 Stories Overall.

I had hoped we'd get to 100 stories for this fest and the temptation is to leave it open for a few more days to get there. But a few more days may end up being another week and I don't know if I'll have the time to keep track of the 'fest fills. I'm so far behind in reading and commenting and replying to feedback that I feel like I'll never dig out.

Authors - This is the time to take your stories and polish them (if they need polishing) and republish them to your journals and the wider White Collar community, so everyone can enjoy your creations.

Thank you everyone – writers, cheerleaders, and even those who read the fills and didn't comment. You've just proved how vibrant and creative this fandom is and will remain.

Promptfest IX is still chugging along, like, oh - IDK. Someone supply a good WC-based metaphor?

I can't believe how much new ficcage there is. I also can't believe that we're in the home stretch. And I also can't believe how many prompt fills I still haven't commented on. But that should change tomorrow, when the chaos of my life recedes, just a little.

Sorry for the lack of a tally last night and tonight. There have been some things going on that have kept me busy and away from my computer. I will post an update in the morning. Thanks for the patience and more importantly, all the great ficcage and feedback.

Apparently, International Fanworks Day is a thing. The celebration is happening at Organization for Transformative Works (the previous link) and their noisy child, Archive of Our Own.

Who else knew about this? Was there any promotion of this anywhere outside of OTW/AO3? (I actually read about it on The Mary Sue, but nowhere else).

I'm the first to admit that I really don't use AO3 to its fullest potential - the whole kudo'ing system and the lack of community kind of kills my joy in the archive, but I visit it most days. You'd have thought that there would have been banners on AO3 announcing the event, but the only banner I've seen is the one about signups and spam.

Oh, well. Maybe next year.

In the mean time, White Collar Promptfest IX is off to an excellent start. I'm in the middle of a fill but have made the tallies for Day One. Once I finish the fill, I'll post the fic count (which is awesome, btw).
