Five Things!

Five lawyers I love to watch on YouTube, a/k/a, the Pro-Democracy gang:



1. Karen Freeman Agnifalo - Formerly the Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office (basically, the second in command), she is now a highly literate commentator on the Meidas Touch Network (Legal AF). Soft spoken, but trenchant. Not given to bombast. Makes her point. You want to listen to her. Annoying that she's only on one day a week (Wednesdays).

2. Michael Popok - KFA's interlocutor on Legal AF. Mostly a civil attorney, loves to educate his audience. Smart, savvy, and doesn't pull his punches. Still very much a gentleman. Listen to him enough, you'll want to be a lawyer, too.

3. Harry Litman - From "Talking Feds with Harry Litman". Sweet Gay Harry. Very much a prosecutor's prosecutor. Knows his stuff, lots and lots of inside baseball. Oddly no-nonsense, but I still want to give him a hug. Or a cookie.

4. Michael Cohen - Just for his schtick. Is there a lawyer who hates DJT more than Michael Cohen? Calls DJT "Donald Von Shitzinpants". Honestly, Cohen really should get just an honorable mention given that he spent years enabling Trump until he saw the light, but he is very enjoyable to watch and that's what this list is.

5. Marc Elias - Runs Democracy Docket, which brings suit against state governments for voting rights violations and gerrymandering. If DD is too deep a dive, watch him with cutiepatootie in a shape suit Brian Taylor Cohen on Democracy Watch.

Honorable mentions:

Glenn Kirschner - a/k/a Mr. Justice Matters. Delivery is just a bit too leaden at times, and I think because he's a regular on MSNBC and CNN, by the time he gets to taping his segments for YT, they are 3 or 4 days out of date.

Andrew Weissman - same as GK. More of a TV commentator than YT

Ben Meiselas - I like him, but he just airs too much DJT presser shit for my comfort. I don't need to see/hear the orange turd that much.

This is a subject I know nothing about, but turns out I enjoy reading lists and the reasons people include the things that they do.

I had not heard Michael Cohen's nickname for DJT. I've been terrified about this upcoming election. This might be the first time I've laughed about it. Thank you for that.

I've been watching the MadCatster, his gimmick is taking care of aging CATS and (at the moment) talking about youtubers getting into legal trouble and how ridiculous some of the court documents are.
