Okay, flist...I love you very much and your advice has always been invaluable.  So I have a question.

Working on a fic, which is actually eight separate pieces connected by a gimmick (for lack of a better word).  Each of the sections is substantially more than a ficlet - ranging from 800 to 2000 words.  There's no real overarching theme (unlike "Take a Seat, Mr. Caffrey), and except for the gimmick, each piece can stand alone.

Should I publish it as one long fic (probably about 10k words when all done), or eight separate pieces - say one per day?

What say you?

I tend to be able to read shorter stories. If it's one big one, my personal choice might be to wait longer to read it, because I simply won't have a chunk of time to devote to reading. But that's me.

How gimmicky is the gimmick? Might be something to help you decide.
