My tag sale is on Sunday - and the people are here "setting up". 

It's terrifying - I am afraid (1)  that nothing will sell/no one will show up and (2) things that aren't for sale will get sold and (3) things will be stolen.

I am using a very reputable company - but still - this set up team is not giving me good vibes.

On a more practical note, if you are truly unhappy with the set up crew - call the company and complain. Going crazy quietly never helped anything and better to have them aware of your standards now than on Sunday when the house is full of buyers. Then I would suggest strong drink and WC reruns. (The former got me through 15 moves in six states and two countries). You have my sympathy and my best wishes.

I'm glad you called the company. It usually does help to get reassurance. Remember, you probably aren't their first nervous seller.

As for no one buying anything, you may be surprised what goes when all those crazy buyers show up. It usually goes that way.

Since you have time, make sure you have locked up anything specific you definitely don't want sold. That way you know it is safe.

I think a tag sale is sort of like moving and other huge life change stuff... you prepare all you can and then accept a certain percentage of things won't go the way you want it to - things will get broken or sold in a way you didn't want but that it won't be the end of the world because you already hid all the end of the world things that could happen to.

Just breathe and have patience. I know that's easier said than done though. Just remember that you are strong, capable and all kinds of awesome and like every other major event (wedding, graduation, ect) even if the day doesn't go *perfectly* that doesn't mean it won't be amazing. We kinda forget on big days there's a lot of room between perfection and disaster...I'm sure you covered all your bases and things will go as well as they possibly can. :)

Glad to see that you contacted the company - you don't want to go into things with a bad feeling about them.

Sorry to hear that your help isn't coming through. It makes things more difficult to deal with, but it's also emotionally un-fun.
