I had just started capping Payback, when I got to a closeup shot of Matthew Keller's case file.

So, okay - either the White Collar prop peeps are (1) incredibly lazy or (2) they know we examine every scene with a scanning-tunneling electron microscope and are fucking with our heads. Or the third possibility is that someone's in cahoots with someone else.

Look at the background text really, really closely.

Here's a close-up:

I vote for they needed a case file with a photo in it but no one told them it would get a close up.

I thought I was reading it wrong or just completely mental, but I guess not! That is definitely a WTF moment - and hopefully will get resolved since White Collar isn't one of those shows that likes to leave gaping plotholes all the time.

Elr, I am here to say only this. The icon you used in your original post is FTW! First laugh of the day and, boy, did I need it.

Gonna watch Payback tonight. Any moments to look for? I kid, I kid. I've heard the entire thing is FANGIRLICIOUS!

I saw up to the part where he is captured. It was 1:30 in the morning and I was squeeing, "Run Neal run, SAVE HIM". My husband hit me on the shoulder and said "Neal can save him tomorrow. Sleep. Now."

I have to say white collar people being lazy. It's similar to when Peter was checking his email and he was supposed to get something from the FBI and we could see it was from ebay or some such crap. Even that little tutorial on Neal in that ep where they teach abt him in college, was full of spelling mistakes and nonsense.

It took them forever to agree that it was "Neal" and not Neil. Can't wait to see if you hear back from Jeff.

I think there was something about Krugerrands and an airstrip and such that was mentioned in Bottlenecked. Maybe it's from that incident?

Maybe, but he left fake explosives at the airstrip. I just checked the transcript for Bottlenecked.

He stole Krugerrands from the airstrip in Stockholm. Drove up to the plane, left fake explosives, and took the gold.

They would have detonated the 'bombs' for security reasons.

It's just a thought. :-D Props don't always get things right. ;)

I know, but Kate's death happened in the winter. They could try to tell me it happened in May but I'd call them liars. lol!

AND YOU ARE NOT OLD. -glomps you-

A couple things are wrong here: the date and time of the incident (obviously) and the field office. I guess that's why it's called a prop.
