Ganked from [personal profile] minoanmiss, who borrowed it from Tumblr. The complete list is in the textarea box at the bottom of the post if you want to play along, too. I originally posted my answers on Minoanmiss’ entry

1 - Of all of the original characters you have written, do you have a favorite? I kind of love all of them, but right now, I have a very special place in my heart for a Star Wars Besalisk who settled on Tatooine. She's a motherly OC who is looking out for poor, reborn Obi-Wan in my time-travel fic, All the Spaces Between Times. Cyral and her lady-mate, Ducca, are sweet and badass and like to go to Jabba's place to listen to Max Rebo and Sy Snoodles play their hot jizz. Cyral brings Obi-Wan nerf steak sandwiches and tells Watto to get stuffed.

2 - Is there a ship/show for whom/which you are interested in writing yet are intimidate to try? I used to say that would be Star Wars, given the depth and breadth of canon (and what's now not canon), but Wookieepedia makes that fear baseless. And Star Wars fans really aren't rabid cultists. Unlike, say, Star Trek fans, who go nuts if you get a Stardate wrong. That's a canon I am definitely afraid to try.

3 - Have you ever written a chapter/scene that made you cry? Which one(s)? I used to do that to myself when I was writing White Collar all the time. Let me find the links to my most infamous tear-jerkers:

End of My Heart's Endeavor (Warning - Suicide)
Heaven for the Hunger, Poison for the Pain (Warning - AIDS/HIV scare, suicidal ideation)

4 - Which of your stories would you most like to see made into a movie? I really don't have much ambition in that direction, except for an original work I wrote for a smutfest a few years back. Yes, it's smutty, and yes, it's A/B/O, but it's still got plot. And I've already headcast it with Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston. So there! A Chance To Try Again

5 - Is there a character you find particularly difficult to write? Which one? On the flip-side, which character flows most easily for you when writing? Currently, I find I have trouble sometimes writing one of my blorbos, Qui-Gon, as he is in canon. Simply because in canon, he was such a fucking asshat. On the flipside, I adore writing Yoda. Maybe because I always love writing the quirky ones, just as I loved writing Mozzie, in the good old days. Also, I'm trying to relearn Latin, which is Subject-Object-Verb, a/k/a Yoda-speak.

6 - Are there writers from other fandoms whom you admire? If so, whom? Rubynye, whose Nu!Trek-fic is some of the best ever written.

7 - Do you have a favorite story among your body of work? I love all of my writing, but if I have to point to a story that I can say, objectively, is my best writing, it's a short work: The Lost and Found.

8 - Do you have a story that consistently challenges you? (or has challenged you in the past?) My WIPs folder is littered with stories, some that are almost 200k, that have beat my ass bloody.

9 - Have any of your multi-chaptered fics grown out of prompts submitted on tumblr? Do you enjoy receiving prompts, anonymous or otherwise? No, I'm sorry to say, but I don't. I used to, but not anymore.

10 - Do you have an idea for a story that intrigues you but haven’t been able to piece together? What would it take to inspire you to actually write it? I do. In fact I have several notebooks filled with ideas. What would it take? Winning the lottery, probably.

11 - Have you ever created alternate versions of your own stories? Are there any you are tempted to write? I don't know if it's an "alternate version" but in my current project, I wrote a bunch of out-of-order chapters to get my engines going, and almost all of them will end of being published as "alternate versions" because the trajectory of the story has changed so much.

12 - Do you sneak personal references into any of your stories? Would you care to share some examples? Absolutely, all the time. It was a lot easier when I was writing White Collar, since I live in the Metro New York area, and was an art history student in college. Most recently, I wrote a Star Wars AU that was basically a love-letter to a group of friends, incorporating bits and pieces of all our lives, and especially a vacation we'd taken. You can find it here - Bottle of Red, Bottle of White.

I always enjoy when you pull back the curtain on your writing process. The answer I found most intriguing was #12. I think we all do that to some degree. I've named characters after family and friends, and even on occasion modeled a character after someone I know. If Jane Austen can do it, so can we!
