I know I shouldn't be surprised that bitter Winter is still looking for a seat at the table, but after the mostly mild one we've had, I am kind of wound up about SuperSnowStorm Stella (STELLA!!!!!!!) bearing down on the Northeast.

I think, because in my head, it's springtime already - the clocks went ahead this past Sunday, I've seen the (plot) bunnies in my yard in the evenings, and there have been hints of yellow on the roadside forsythias.

But we're looking at 10-20 inches of snow, depending on the model. I know it's possible that we'll get nothing, but that is actually really unlikely.

At least it means a day out of the office. I'm past the point where I brave the elements to get my ass to work.

To all my peeps in the Northeast, stay safe and warm and dry. Don't go out unless it's a life or death thing. Keep inside, write plenty of fanfiction or do other perfectly wonderful and self-indulgent things.

May I ask some questions? Can you decide just to stay home like that? Or does the office have to announce that it will be closed? Who decides this? The government?

I remember last year they did a warning and whole New York was closed but it wasn't as bad as announced and people had fun building snowmen and sledding etc.

Do you get paid for the time off? Probably not.

Wow!! That's a gorgeous pic from last week; I hope this storm doesn't do too much damage or cause too many problems! I won't taunt you with what our weather's doing this week, but the nice temps are balanced out by *insane* pollen counts, so there's that :-P

Your weather sounds like a good excuse for more soup in your Instant Pot and lots of enjoyable TV/fanfic for company ;-)

Stay warm and safe! <3

Sounds like a great plan! Stay safe and don't brave the driveway until it's safe or you have to! ;-) (Sometimes easier said than done, I know!)

Stay safe!

We've had about 6 inches of snow, more or less, here in metro Detroit, and that's bad enough.

I knew that winter hadn't been cancelled, only back-ordered. :-(

Last week we had 20+ inches of snow (North of me, we only got the tail end and 8 inches here...) and this week we're expecting highs in the 60s. Spring is trying her best to fight through! I'm hoping she gets old man winter by the hoohaas and takes him down this time. ;)

I feel pretty great, actually. And I'm doing well, all clear at the 3 month post chemo appointment. Doctor free until June as long as everything continues to feel ok. But so far so good.

And I know it's selfish. But thanks for worrying. <3

I definitely agree that staying home is the way to go. No reason to get out on the roads with the crazy drivers or the crazy weather.

Hope you have a good snow day! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Ready for snow at my place. Did the French toast shopping of eggs, bread, and milk. Stocked up kitty supplies, especially the treats or the little girl would meow me to death. Last but not least TP. Still have rock salt from couple months ago.
Today was scheduled appointment with cardiologist with no problems. Glad I didn't have to reschedule if it has been tomorrow Thinking the hubby will be stuck at work. He works nights and his replacements will be late or no shows.

Wishing I could have my own Flash to shovel 12" plus of snow tomorrow.

Wow, that's a lot of snow.

Meanwhile in Southern CA where I overlook the San Bernardino Valley from 2500 feet up a mountain, it'll be in the high 70s or low 80s all week.

Oh my god. We are still - even though well into Autumn - getting daily temperatures 31-32C (high 80s F) so would happily send you some warmth if we could...)
