Fic Etiquette

Okay, okay - I'm writing WC fic, because the plot bunnies in my head are hopping 'round like they're on crank. I can't sleep with all the noise in my head.
I'm probably about three days from finish - I do have to do work for the job that pays so very well (not kidding) - and I have a newsletter to write, layout, get printed and mailed (where the HELL did January and February go?) - and my family and friends don't quite GET the obsession - but I will get it done.
So my questions are:
What are the unwritten rule for posting a fic? I get the whole spoiler warning thing, but is there a specific form or community I should link to (I'm thinking Caffrey_Burke), but do I need to get an author tag first?
I'd also like someone to beta this - I do enough writing IRL that I know that no matter how carefully I read my finished work, I am still going to miss typos and grammatical mistakes.
Anything else I need to know? Unlike a certain conman, I believe it's better to ask permission first than ask forgiveness afterwards.
Many, many thanks.
Elr
