Ooooh!! Eobard needs something Matthew has, or needs Matthew to get something for him b/c he doesn't want to risk exposing who he is over whatever he needs? Maybe the whatsit is something that can only be obtained by doing something like that soirée that Peter and Neal went to to get the stamp in S6, and Eobard doesn't want to be seen in public like that?? Interplay between those two would be seriously fascinating to see!!
