Cover Art for Wash The Sins Away

One of the very earliest stories I wrote for the White Collar fandom was Wash the Sins Away (warning: graphic allusions to rape), for a rather innocent prompt from daria234, “Peter and Neal having sex in the shower”. It turned into a very dark story, one which formed the core of the Paladin'verse.

Last night, kanarek13 shared with me a preview of her image that would give her a blackout on her H/C bingo card and after I caught my breath, my first thought was - that's the perfect illustration for "Wash the Sins Away". When I mentioned it to Kanarek, she told me that she'd been thinking of that very story when she was working on this. Then she asked me if it was okay to turn this into cover art. Of course my answer was, yes!

I'm honored by this gift. This is a difficult story and one that has resonated with me for all my years in the fandom.

It is definitely one of the stories that have made an impact on me, it has, after all, stayed with me for years and is one of those I remember in great detail among all those thousands of fanfics I've read ever since I became part of the fandom ♥

It's beyond perfect, as always. And so is that story, really. I somehow hadn't read it until I saw the artwork (I haven no idea how I missed it) -- they're just a perfect pairing!!

There are soooo many of your stories that I love deeply.
I carry them with me like little gems.
Whenever I need my Peter/Neal fix I always go back to your journal.
