(Don't know what happened, but I completely forgot to click on the "post" button).

CA:TWS is one of those movies that I can watch any time, and I don't have to pay attention to it. I've probably watched it 30 times the last year - it's a movie I can put on and never need to pay attention to, and then still enjoy when I look up from whatever I'm doing.

Does that make it a "guilty pleasure"? I don't know - but there are a few other movies that I used to be able to do this with that definitely fall into this category - The Running Man, The Breakfast Club, Star Trek: The Voyage Home. None of these are particularly GOOD movies, but they are extremely watchable.

Steve/Bucky in an LA Confidential AU

OMG - at first, Steve was Exley and Bucky's Bud, but then no - Steve's Bud and Bucky's Lynn and Tony's Exley. But no, Bucky's Bud, Tony is Exley and Steve is Lynn.

Right? Right?

LOL my slash goggles were so bad on this film I forgot about Lynn - I was thinking Steve's Bud (angry, gets into it with anyone who harasses a woman) and Bucky is Exley, but then that last combo you said is way better! :D Because Tony thinks they're always a way to outsmart the situation, and Bucky beats up bullies, and they both like Steve and the relationship parallels TOTALLY WORK. But really any of the combinations you mentioned I can see :D

At first, I had the slash goggles on, too - and had cast Tony as Jack Vincennes, but then I remembered Lynn and her tie between Bud and Ed.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that Steve's so damn pretty.

Mmmmm Exley/Vincennes are totally shippable too. I can see Bucky as Vincennes. Or Sam or Natasha or Tony.

Steve is quite pretty :)
