Day 23 – Your favorite character from any movie

"Verbal" Kint / Keyser Söze

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Twenty years later, I still can't figure out if EVERYTHING that Verbal told Agent Kulan was a lie, or if he just changed the names.

I think that's all the (frustrating) beauty of this film. Even though you know, you still don't know. Most films with a twist, once you know the twist, when you rewatch, you see all the clues. But this one? There's no answer, no certitude. And you feel fooled because what you saw wasn't actually real.

(and on a side note, poor Gabriel, who thought he was Keyser Söze, until he saw the film for the first time, at the Cannes Film Festival...)

Yes exactly. The Sixth Sense was good, but it doesn't have the same interest. It's actually rather easy to catch even on first watch, and it remains a classic twist.

Gabriel was rather disappointed... ;)
