Day 17 – The best movie you saw during the last year

The wording on this one is weird. Some peeps on my f-list think that means the last calendar year, 2014. I think it means during the last twelve months.



If I'm to go with the crowd, the best movie I saw in 2014 was The Normal Heart. It still lives in my head, and a week doesn't go by without something bringing me back to a scene, a line, a moment of utter pain and anger and heartbreak.

But, if I'm correct, and the meme's asking for the best movie I've seen in the last twelve months, it has to be Magic Mike XXL



I loved this movie, start to finish. Yeah, would have liked some more skin, but we got that in the original. This one had heart and characters that I actually cared about. And Matty, singing.

Quite coincidentally, I saw both The Normal Heart and Magic Mike XXL with sinfulslasher.

I had my choice of TNH posters to pick from, too. But seriously, MMXXL was the best movie I've seen in the last 12 months,

Nothing wrong with Matt's abs. Or those arms. Or the nape of his neck,

Or best of all, his nipples.

The link to the Normal Heart poster appears to be broken :( (at least it doesn't show up for me directly). And that is a shame because it is a beautiful image.

Of course the MMXL image is very yummy, thanks for selecting it ;).
