Day 3 - A Photo Of An Animal

Not quite Shelob. But the garden where I photographed this was filled with spiders about this size. Good thing I don’t have arachnophobia!

Creative use of the prompt. The spider looks like it's suspended in air.

Cringe! We have spiders about this size where I live most of the year, although they lack the interesting pattern this guy has on its legs!

I love this shot! The colors and depth of field here are amazing, and I love that you can even see parts of the web! =)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Spider.

Awesome how you managed to actually capture the web and everything. Pretty impressive!

It is! And I don't even mind spiders all that much (as long as they leave me alone *g*) so the photo didn't freak me out. *g*

Still trying to find the phallic bit in today's piccie though... *squints*

Love looking at web in early morning when the dew highlights them.

Another photo with great focus.

I didn't see the web at first. The spider apparently hanging in midair is an interesting effect.

Oh yes, the subtle effect of the web is wonderful....

Have to admit, it doesn't look all that big to me but the colouring is lovely. (Australian here. Have had huntsman spiders in the house a few times. In car which nearly got me running off the road and killed a couple of times. Then again, have had redbacks and whitetails in the potting shed. So so small, but waaaayyy more dangerous)
