Another photograph from that epic trip through the Southwest, this time on the journey back from Phoenix. It was an amazing evening, the light was perfect and I spent so much time stopping at all the beauty spots, I lost track of time.

Do you know that the roads through National Parks and Navajo Country are completely un-illuminated at night? And there's no cellphone service? And there's no road services for seventy miles between Lake Powell and Kanab?

Did you get caught driving ALL BY YOURSELF in the pitch black with no cell-phone reception and no GPS and no one else on the road for 45 miles? Did you break out in an icy sweat when finally you saw another car on the road, only to be convinced it was an axe-murderer who was going to chop up your body and bury it under dozens of different Joshua trees?

LOL okay fine, we were 2, I wasn't driving, and we had a GPS (well, at least that thingy thing that speaks like every hundred miles but for all I know there could have been no GPS reception there... It's not like there were many crossroads).
Oh and we only had a little snow storm in the mountain (that was February)...
I didn't freak out, because I was with my then boyfriend, and I tend to be very trustful when I'm not alone.
