Mm. Sharif looks bigger/taller in person than on the show - can't explain why.

Do you remember what prompted Matt to hug Tim? Such a sweet moment - he's adorable. And Tim! Omg, he is really HOT.

Sharif is a big guy...and he's sitting between two small men. Willie is short and so is Jeff King, so that makes him seem even bigger. I don't know why he kept the cap on all night (and he did that for the LA Paleyfest event too).

The hug was the most adorable moment in the whole night. One of the audience questions/comments was that the show was about love - particularly about the love these two men have for each other...and Matt spontaneously threw himself into Tim's arms.

My pleasure...except that the whole posting process is exhausting (a little cheese with my whine please).

Got to get the pics from Lightroom to Photoshop, then reduce the file size, then watermark and flatten and reduce the file size again. I need a better workflow.

Yay! Thanks so much for taking the time to upload all those photos - for those of us living far away from these events (like myself, in New Zealand!) it's much appreciated.

Also, I love all the moments of mirrored body language you captured between Tim & Matt. Although I know they're both married to other people, that kind of closeness & synchronicity makes my Neal/Peter shipping heart happy :)

That was one of the most relavatory things about going through the pictures...how Tim and Matt would just mirror each other. The chemistry is so natural. Their body language speaks volumes.

I think it is insanely UNFAIR that on top of all that natural beauty, and those incredible blue eyes, Matt Bomer has to have the longest eyelashes I've ever seen on a man or a woman.

You know...I was about 10 feet from him at one point. Sigh.

(Thank goodness for you and other people with much better cameras than mine; realising early on that my camera is wee and not-so-great, I gave up taking photos after a few shots and instead tried to focus on staying present.)

I read your write up --- I had no idea that they hadn't exited immediately and were interacting with fans. I was trying to make sure lifefiction was able to get out, and I never looked down the steps before I left.

Which speaks volumes for your mindfulness of lifefiction's mobility issues, which is totally not a bad thing. Though I understand how missing the opportunity to meet more of the cast is disappointing.

Did you at least get a chance to interact with the cast once they'd gone out on the pavement?

No...the Paley staff were hustling the cast out and to their cars pretty quickly. Marsha did try to stay and I've got some lovely pictures of her. I'm having trouble getting the rest of them uploaded, but hopefully by tomorrow night.

I still have my writeup to finish (lunchtime tomorrow) and I need to get a fic posted now. And so it goes.

BTW - I adore your Pre-Raph userpics.

Yes, the Paley staff (and the NBC/Universal/USA staff as well, I assume) did get them out rather fast. I was hovering around the edge of the crowd, so I saw them as they passed by (and paused for some photographs and signatures), but didn't want to ruffle any feathers by wading in myself.

But Marsha! *happy sigh*

And thanks! Boreas is one of my favourite paintings, and my favourite Waterhouse. I didn't do anything fancy to make it--just cropped and resized the highest-resolution copy that I could find. The Pre-Raphaelites = ♥.

About 7 years ago, I was in London on business and had a day to myself. I spent most of it in the Royal Academy of Arts which was hosting an exhibit of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's collection of Pre-Raph art and artifacts.

It was incredible and almost too much to take in. The Rosetti and the Burne-Jones and the Waterhouse nearly brought me to my knees. What always amazes me about the Pre-Raphaelites is how strong the women are depicted - such an antithesis of the horrendous Victorian genre painting fashionable at that time.

ZOMG. You saw the Lloyd Webber exhibition? I remember reading about that at the time! I was very sorry not to be able to make it. Augh, but it must have been amazing. I'm envious! But so glad that you were able to go!

At times I question somewhat the idealisation of physical beauty in the female 'stunner', but then I look again at the strength of those women's features and the size and dominance of their forms within their respective compositions, and I'm thrilled all over again.

And now I want to drag out all of the available books and articles on the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood to re-read!

Did you get to the Burne-Jones exhibition at the Met in '98? It was incredible, too. They had some of the tapestries and all of the major works.

Thank you so much for offering! I confess that I've just done a mad thing, however, and have purchased a used copy of the catalogue online. Sans dust jacket, alas, but otherwise in good condition. Also, affordable. (Whee!)
