1 - I saw The Avengers yesterday. I actually cut out of the office early (and fuck it, I'm not charging those three hours to vacation when I've already worked on average 10.5 hours a day for the month). I like it. A lot. But I have one HUGE question.

Is Agent Coulson really dead?

And I feel no need to write Avengers fic. Whew. I had a mild impulse after seeing XMFC last summer, but that passed quickly.

2 - I am strangely blocked in all my writing endeavors. I can't even get a MMOM ficlet out today. Not a comfortable feeling, not at all. Been sitting in Starbucks, writing a sentence, deleting a sentence and repeating a sentence over and over.

3 - I looked at some houses, found something I liked. Now I need to call my broker and actually get inside the place.

4 - The regional manager of my local and favorite Starbucks (where I am right now) was in this morning. I told him that his staff was wonderful, the coffee was excellent and the furniture was falling apart. He said the place was due for a refresh. But he didn't say when. I'll bring a screwdriver and some wood glue tomorrow - because it's really uncomfortable to work at a table that rocks every time I type a letter.

5 - My word count is way down for the year. Only 140k since January.

6 - On an extremely positive note, I could be in Orlando right now, dealing with awful people, Mickey Mouse, and swamp ass.

As far as I know, Agent Coulson is really dead. However, it is the world of comics - a place where people die on a fairly regular basis, and come back to life just as regularly.

I'm sorry about your writer's block. That always sucks. Good luck getting past it.

Hugs you!! Not feeling like writing sucks, but I think sometimes that's what the creative brain needs to do: recharge. Of course, if you want prompts...*points to self*

How exciting that you found a house you like! YAY you! \o/

*snort* about your word count.

I love my local Esquires coffee place. Good coffee, the staff is friendly and speaks English but the chair across from where I usually sit has a funny smudge on the upposltry that has been there forever. I've been tempted to bring one of those fabric scrubbers and clean it up myself.

So glad I'm not the only one with urges like that.

I hope once you get in that house you still like it. I know that can be hit or miss but I really hope you found one.

Ah, you'll know it's the right one as soon as you walk in the door. Most times it's the light and feel much more than bathrooms and kitchen. I'm excited for you!

YAY HOUSE! My fingers are crossed for you.

Re: Coulson--HE BETTER NOT BE DEAD. But I think he is. BUT HE BETTER NOT BE. *all my loves for him* He's badass, and that actor is hilarious, AND ALSO HE AND CLINT AND NATASHA ARE IN LOVES. *has a very established headcanon*

I've officially fallen in love with Starbucks. I did the reward card thing, and I just got an iced coffee with soymilk and sugar-free caramel syrup at no extra charge and I get free refills and I AM GOING TO BE SO OVER-CAFFEINATED.

I'm betting on not dead by the next movie - he's just too popular. And regardless of Joss's tendency to kill off characters people love (I'm still mad about Wash), Marvel never kills off anyone for long.

Good luck on the house!

Obviously Coulson is not dead. I've been told by people who pay more attention to the small details than I do that the proof of this utterly irrefutable fact has something to do with his dogtags, but er, yes?

They (as in: Nick Fury) might still pretend he's dead in the next movie though, of course.

Sorry to hear about your writer's block; here's to hoping it will pass quickly even if 140K since January sounds like about er ten times what I wrote? Maybe?

Dead people staying dead in comic books is stunningly rare. The Return of the Living Phil Coulson is certainly possible.

Congratulations on your potential new house, and even more on avoiding the nightmare in Orlando. From what you said, forfeiting deposits was well worth the escape, so enjoy repairing your local Starbucks!

Just had to say...

...LOVE this icon! The caption goes perfectly with the smirk on Peter's face...

Thank you! It's one of Copperbadge's, who is as generous as he is talented. He made this one too.

Would it make you feel any better if I told you how the MWC hotel restaurant really sucked this year. I don't think they knew what a piece of fresh fruit, any fruit, was. But at least all my fan friends were there, and went to bed late nearly every night. We all enjoyed the 7, yes 7, pillows on the bed. Hotel WIFI was overwhelmed by everyone trying to get on-line. Finally just gave up, to try to catch up now at home!!
