In a weird mood...and a poll

Date: 2011-09-24 06:56 am (UTC)Well, I should think so! Oh, that Ravel. He infused his music with such humor - more than any composer but Haydn, IMO. But Boléro always reminds me of Lambert's bon mot to the effect that Ravel reached the limits of composing in one dance rhythm toward the end of La Valse - and the beginning of Boléro.
