Destashing: Any Knitters Out There?

I recently unearthed my mother's collection of knitting books and magazines and patterns.  I'd hate to throw them out, and I have no place to donate them to.  Anyone interested in a large, random sample?  Basically, I'll stuff a flat rate priority mail envelope with them (there are probably close to a hundred of them) to anyone who wants.

I've also got fabric coming out of the wazoo.  Mostly upholstery - prints and wovens, lots of velvets and tapestries.  Just ask, and I will send out.

Books we can discuss.  Lots of sci-fi and fantasy.  It'll be easier for you to tell me a title you're looking for than for me to list what I've got.

My Hubby is the tailor in this family. Those velvets and tapestries would definitely be put to good use. As much as you're able and willing to stuff/send.

I love velvets and tapestry if it looks like something that could be turned into a corset. I am rather fond of purple, red, olive green, and any variant of gray/silver/black. I would be interested in anything that looks like it could become pirate/renfaire esk in sewn outcome. Or maybe cute bag/purse. Trims are awesome and useful as well. Should I send some $ via paypal your way for shipping?

I donno... a couple? I will trust your judgement on what's cool. I don't have tremendous amounts of cash to spare these days with surgery stuff, but I like fun surprises and they keep me happy, so can you keep it around $30? I have no idea what that means in terms of boxes, I only know my postage in letter sizes.

I don't have as much Sci-Fi as fantasy. But I have Karen Traviss, Karin Lowachee, Elizabeth Bear, and lots of other authors that I can't remember off of the top of my head.

What do you like in the genre? Space Opera (got that), mil-sci (got that too), human-exoform relations (yup). Not a lot of "pure" speculative fiction - my tastes run more towards relationships and characters rather than the sciences. More female than male authors too.
