It's meme time again - a double whammy I ganked from
lokifan (part 1) and
preromantics (part 2 - which I am pretty sure I already had played) and reconfigured for my own base use (code is below, if you want to play along too).
PART ONE
Pick any character from the White Collar (my main fandom), or The West Wing, Farscape, Burn Notice universes and I'll answer the following questions:
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
PART TWO:
Now, let's talk about pairings. You can either use the character your asked about above or pick a different on and pair him/her up with any other character (more than one is good too) in that fandom or the other fandoms mentioned in Part One and I'll tell you about a fic I would write about them if I had the time. You can also give me a pairing or threesome or moresome an and A/U scenario and I'll tell you all about the fic that it would create.
I can't promise that I'll write any of these fics, but I always like thinking about stories I may WANT to write
Have at it, you crazy kids!

Date: 2011-03-24 01:42 pm (UTC)I'm picking Elizabeth, from White Collar, obviously. Because my West Wing knowledge is pretty much non-existant and I had that talk with
Pairing-wise: Something different? How about Mozzie/Elizabeth (might be gen, might just be not...) or Elizabeth/Diana???
<333 (Also, any spelling-mistakes should be ignored because I've been awake for too long and my spelling abilities go down the drain when that happens.

Date: 2011-03-24 02:20 pm (UTC)Elizabeth:
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.
I love Elizabeth for many reasons. She's smart, but she doesn't need to rub her husband's face in it. She appreciates her husband, but she's not a door mat; she has her own life and her own career; she has her own opinions and also has an opened mind; she works at her marriage; and you just KNOW that she's 'shipping her husband and his BFF all the time now.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Even when she's not part of the episode, her role is very important - she helps define who Peter Burke is - the man he was and has become. She was very deeply missed during the first half of the second season and her return to her regular role was greatly anticipated.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I relate to her in that she represents the type of spouse I'd want and want to be. She grips me emotionally because she is an adult in an adult role in an adult world.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I LOVE IT! I became a writer in this fandom because the fandom has treated her with the utmost respect, even when the primary pairing is Peter/Neal, not Peter/Elizabeth/Neal.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Of course I ship Peter/Elizabeth/Neal, and occasionally I have shipped Elizabeth/Neal + Peter, but because the canonical relationship is so strong, I don't feel the need to take her husband out of the equation.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
Strangely, no. I'd like to see more of her, learn her backstory, but nothing that would make the essential Elizabeth Burke any different.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think we'd be friends - and I'd probably be seriously in awe of her and maybe just hate her a little bit because she's got this terrific husband AND this hotsexy boyfriend and the boyfriend's cute and quirky best friend, plus her husband's super hot subordinates and the boyfriend's former girlfriend and occasionally current girlfriend. In fact, Elizabeth is getting it so much from so many sources that I wonder (1) how she has time to run her business; (2) socialize with me; and (3) walk upright.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
On the show - yeah, she's my favorite female character, and she definitely makes it into the top ten.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
Absolutely. Not only from a fandom perspective, but from a canon perspective.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Extremely - you rarely see fic that hand waves her away or makes her mean/evil/cheating - in fact, those writers that do rarely seem to come back to the WC fandom.
As for a fic about Elizabeth - I love the canonical friendship of Mozzie and Elizabeth. I don't see them in a sexual relationship; however, more like the type of friend you could call at any time. So, on that premise, and because I'm feeling in the mood for something in the Venice Continuum...
Elizabeth, Peter and Neal have just come back from Venice, and are at the Burke house in Brooklyn. Peter and Neal are upstairs unpacking and probably snogging like teenagers and El's just relaxing with a cup of tea when the doorbell rings.
Moz brings Satchmo back (knowing when they were due to arrive) and all he says to her is "did everything work out?"
She smiles at him and he grins back at her. "I am still angry at Neal for turning Fed, you know."
She's like - don't be. He's back for good - and just think, you can spend the rest of your life tormenting him with crimes you may or may not be planning to commit.

Date: 2011-03-24 02:21 pm (UTC)For part I, I'm going to go with Sam Seaborn.
For part II, I'd like to know what happened when Neal Caffrey met Michael Westen. They both slip in and out of characters so smoothly, I'd want to see how they interact.

Date: 2011-03-24 03:04 pm (UTC)PART ONE
Pick any character from the White Collar (my main fandom), or The West Wing, Farscape, Burn Notice universes and I'll answer the following questions:
Sam Seaborn, The West Wing
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.
It's almost impossible NOT to like Sam Seaborn...and despite Rob Lowe's disgusting (and probably coke-fueled) behavior in the 1980s, I found him almost unbearably attractive in this role, especially when he wore those glasses (I think my glasses kink dates from this time).
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
For the first year of TWW, it seemed that the plot was mostly all about Sam, but in later seasons, when the show truly became an ensemble, he was less (but still very) important. When Rob Lowe left the show, it sort of lost its heart, because the Sam/Josh (ok, Sam-Josh) relationship was such a bit of sweet candy.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I can relate to Sam in his need to do the right thing, to be a good human being. He makes me happy, sad and almost every emotion in between.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I don't play in TWW fandom, so I can't say.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Of course I ship Josh-Sam (that pairing's practically canonical), and probably Toby-Sam, and if I'm feeling expansive, probably CJ/Sam, too.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
Maybe make him a little less clueless about thing.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I probably wouldn't be friends with Sam - but I would like to be.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
He was definitely a favorite for me on TWW, but as an all time favorite, no.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
I would hype him to fandom, because he's smart, attractive, looks really hot in a suit and those little glasses. And you just KNOW he's getting on his knees for almost the entire Senior Staff on a regular basis.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
I can't imagine that he isn't. (See #9)
How Michael Westen and Neal Caffrey first met.
It was Paris, 2004 and Neal's in a bar in Montmartre - thinking about Kate and nursing a bruised heart. Michael is just off of the job in Ireland, full of adrenaline and missing Fiona. He's supposed to get his next assignment from a courier wearing a grey suit and a black hat, which is what Neal is wearing. Michael sits down next to him and wonders when the CIA started recruiting them so young and so startlingly attractive. He starts chatting with Neal and subtly slips in the code phrase, Neal is at first clueless, and then a little startled, because the phrase is some obscure double entredre on a picture in a Japanese pillow book that he had just stolen. He doesn't give the proper response, and Michael knows he's supposed to walk away. But they start talking - and one thing leads to another, and they end up back at Neal's apartment for sex - Neal has a rule - only men because sex with another woman would be cheating on Kate.
Michael disappears by morning and Neal doesn't meet him again until he and Peter have to handle an art forgery case at the Art Basel Miami biennial.

Date: 2011-03-24 04:18 pm (UTC)And for pairing I want to know your thoughts on Michael/Fiona/?Sam? (as in you can add him or not your choice).
I'm still surprised I liked Burn Notice as much as I did! I can't wait to see it come back on!

Date: 2011-03-25 01:00 pm (UTC)I adore Mozzie - and as much as I love Peter and Neal, without Mozzie, there would be no White Collar. He's more than comic relief, the "quirky friend," in many ways he's the soul and conscience of the show.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Absolutely - as I said in (1), he's the soul and conscience of White Collar - for both Neal and now, for Peter. He may be a criminal, but he definitely understand the importance of doing what's right - he's got a very strong moral code.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
Absolutely! In fact, of all the WC characters, I identify with Mozzie the most. We both are a little bit anarchistic at heart.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
The WC fandom has loved Mozzie from the beginning...I don't think I've ever seen anything negative about him.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Although I haven't written it too much, I mentally 'ship Mozzie romantically with all of the recurring characters, except Hughes. I see him with Neal, with Peter, with Elizabeth, with Kate and Alex and yes, even Sara. Most definitely with Jones.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
God, NOT A THING!!!!!!! I adore everything about him.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I would so want to be BFFs with him. Hang out in his "lab" - maybe do a few capers.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
He's so in my all time top ten characters, it's not funny.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
I would hype him to fandom, because he's smart, attractive, looks really hot in seersucker and those thick glasses.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Absolutely - he's always listed as a fan favorite.
I always like the dynamic of Michael and Fiona - particularly when the get together and break apart. They are both intelligent, strong-willed and dynamic individuals - Fi may occasionally try to protect her heart, but she knows it belongs to Michael. Michael will never look anywhere else...to me, that's a given like the rising sun.

Date: 2011-03-25 06:06 pm (UTC)Michael and Fi I agree are destined here to end up together :) but I kind of like the idea of Michael and Sam sharing Fi some within the confines of close relationship in an odd way XD I admit it will never happen but that's a guilty pleasure idea to me :)

Date: 2011-03-24 08:00 pm (UTC)Pairing....Donna and POTUS (gen, of course).
no subject
Date: 2011-03-25 12:19 am (UTC)1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.
I like Donna - even though she's a little bit of a flake through the early seasons, she has a huge heart and never forgets what's really important.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes and no...she brings Josh back to earth, which is important.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally? Definitely in later season episodes, when she really began to shine - and the end of the sixth, and through the seventh.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from? I don't play at all in TWW fandom, so I can't answer that.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
I would always 'ship Donna with Josh, and as friends with Sam...and if I were dirty minded, I might pair her as a Domme for Toby, because that guy definitely needs his ass whipped.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
Maybe give her a slightly less flakey personality in the early seasons. And more of a backbone when it comes to standing up to Josh in personal matters.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think we'd be friends - she's funny and smart and people tend to seriously underestimate her.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
I think she's someone that has grown on me, but she was never a favorite of mine.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom? No - Donna is sweet, but she' neither a prime mover or a potential villainess.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
I am not part of TWW fandom, but I can't imagine that she isn't, even if you're shipping Sam/Josh
If I was to write a fic about Donna and POTUS, it would be the first time that Bartlett remembered her name - the night he won the Illinois primary and the night Josh's father died. Jed is looking for Josh and he calls her Debbie or Doreen or something and she doesn't correct him and he asks her where Josh is, she doesn't want to tell him - because this is HIS night, but he presses her and she says he has to attend to some family matters. He says - family? Now? He walks away, a little annoyed. Leo says, "what's the real problem" and Donna tells him.

Date: 2011-03-25 12:47 am (UTC)But for the pairing, how about a gen story about Sam and Peter? (And if Neal shows up with Peter--and they're in a gen, slash or ot3 relationship--well, I won't complain. And if any other WC or BN characters show up, I'm fine with that too!)
no subject
Date: 2011-03-25 05:40 pm (UTC)Of course I like Sam - who wouldn't? Actually - at first I didn't trust him - but that lasted about 20 minutes into the first episode. There is just SOMETHING about this guy - I mean his not my type on the surface (too much alcohol and the Hawaiian shirts), but he's got a heart as pure as a diamond, he's loyal even when it goes against his own personal best interests, but he knows where the line is, and he's not shy about saying he won't cross it.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes - absolutely.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I love Sam, but I don't relate to him in the way I relate to Mozzie (his closest parallel)
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I don't follow the BN fandom, so I can't say.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
I love the friendship between Sam and Michael and the snarkiness between Sam and Fiona. I don't see a romantic relationship between him and either Michael or Fi, but I do see him with Maddie.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
No, not really. I'd like to see Chuck Finley a little more, though.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think we'd be friends…but not close friends. He's got too many secrets and I don't drink like that.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
Yes - while BN is not all about Sam - he's what makes the show interesting. He functions as it's moral center - like Maddie does.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!
Sam Axe and Peter Burke
They first met in Suitland, near Andrews AFB. Lt. Sam Axe was coming in after a long assignment in the Pacific and Peter, well, the less said about what a 21-year old Seaman was doing at the Headquarters for U.S. Naval Intelligence, the better. Sam was tired - dog tired. He'd been in Malayasia for the better part of the year, tracking down the theft of a shipment of surface to air missles. He found them, the sellers, the buyers and a thriving sex tourism business, and all he wanted now was to sleep and forget the dead eyes of the 9-year old prostitutes.
Actually, he was more than tired - he was angry. The higher ups were well pleased about the recovery of the stolen weapons and how well Sam had shut them down, but they wouldn't do anything about the children. Which was why he gave the young Seaman who jostled him in the elevator the raw edge of his tongue. The very raw edge during the long, slow ride.
The Seaman, Burke according to his shiny new name plate, stared him in the eye - bad form from a non-com to an officer and quietly apologized. There was nothing insubordinate about Burke's words or even his tone, but every syllable shamed Sam.
When they got out, Sam thought for a moment, watching Burke walk away. This young man knew his own worth, he may only be wearing three stripes but he carried himself like a Fleet Admiral.
Sam jogged a bit and caught up with Burke. He owned the man an apology - and maybe a drink. Or two.

Date: 2011-03-26 03:35 am (UTC)Thank you for your thoughts on Sam as well. He's my favorite non-White Collar character, and the main reason I love Burn Notice. I relate to him more than you do--but I love Hawaiian shirts!

Date: 2011-03-25 03:35 am (UTC)Will you do minor characters? Any thoughts on Victor from Burn Notice? If not, then I'll ask for Diana.
For Part II, what would you do if you had to write Peter/Alex/Neal in a historical AU?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-25 05:52 pm (UTC)1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.
I love Diana - I did from the Pilot, and I was really disappointed that she never showed up in the show again (at least until Out of the Box). I like her because she's strong, can assert herself with the big boys, not afraid to admit when she's wrong, she doesn't whine when asked to do something that might otherwise offend a woman in a man's world (e.g., play a prostitute).
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes - she's Peter's good right hand and very often makes things happen that wouldn't happen otherwise.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I can relate to her in that she's a professional in a profession that traditionally doesn't treat women well. Her role isn't required to grip me emotionally - not yet, at least.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I adore the fandom - it's the greatest thing that's happened to my life in the last few years.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
I have enjoyed letting Diana step out a bit - with all the lovely women of White Collar. But I am intrigued about her partner and can't wait until she's finally given some flesh.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
Hmmm - no. Not a thing.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think she'd terrify me too much.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
Definitely a show favorite, and quite possibly an all time favorite too.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
Posh lesbian with a gun and a fuck you attitude.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Absolutely, even during the time she was not on the show.
Peter/Neal/Alex in a historical A/U
You know what just flashed into my head? Shogun! 16th Century Japan. But what would I do with Alex? Okay, so that doesn't work with this trio.
Let's see…London, between the Wars. Neal is a spy for the Home Office, Peter is his direct superior and Alex may or may not be a double agent. Neal is the youngest son of an Irish earl with vaguely Republican (i.e., Free Ireland) - more because he loves the excitement rather than any particular political leanings. He's wealthy and bored and amuses himself by stealing things and putting them back. Peter catches him and blackmails him into working for him. There is a lot of UST - Peter's married but he's got an eye for Neal, and Neal's always flexible. They even talk about Oscar Wilde and the trial.
Peter sets Neal onto Alex, who has family in Germany - she's a flapper girl with friends in high places. Dunno where I'd take it from there…but this may work out as a longer story. Except that I really know what to write for Alex.

Date: 2011-03-25 08:17 pm (UTC)I hadn't thought about how Diana admits when she's wrong, but that's true, and that's sucha good quality, especially for a badass agressive person.
I LOVE your AU idea. It rocks so hard. I don't even usually like that era in fic, but your take on it is so very very yummy and full of possibilities. If that were a show, i might like it more than original!wc. Peter blackmailing spoiled!boy!Neal? Talking about Wilde? Sexual politics and other politics and intrigue and mystery and yumyumyum
love it

Date: 2011-03-25 04:21 am (UTC)June/Hughes. :D Because she's one awesome lady.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-25 05:58 pm (UTC)I started to really like Hughes in Bad Judgment, when he came to Peter and told him what Fowler was planning to do, and then when I started rewatching S1 - I realized how much I liked him before. There is a dry wit that I always appreciate - in Threads, when he shouts out to Jones as he's passing by - "You like supermodels?", and then in Book of Hours, when he's with Peter at the murder scene and tells he that he could have had "that berth" (Organized Crime) for years - but he keeps turning it down - there's definitely a fatherly protectiveness there.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes and no - he has had his moments - such as with Bad Judgment, but on the other hand - he's served more as a foil than a prime mover. In fact, in the first part of S2, in Prisoner's Dilemma, when the actor, James Rebhorn, was on a movie shoot, he was simply replaced with his own boss!
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I can relate to some of his frustrations, but without any signficant backstory, it's hard to get emotionally caught up in Hughes. Of course, that hasn't stopped me from creating a whole story for him and his family.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
White Collar is the best fandom EVER!!!!!!!
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Hmmm…I've 'shipped Hughes with Peter in VampireWorld - and he and Peter have a long standing friendship in my Venice Continuum.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
More Hughes and a little backstory, please?
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think he'd be a great boss - I'd love to work for him. He's got high standards.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
I like him, he's my favorite secondary/tertiary character, but not a non-WC favorite.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
I'd talk about him, but I don't think I'd need to include him in any hype.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Yes - he's always a popular side character.
(YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THE HARD ONES - I'VE SHIPPED JUNE AND BANCROFT - ARGH! TEARS AT HAIR)
June likes Peter, she likes Mozzie, she likes that young agent Clinton Jones very much, too, as well as Diana and Alex and even Sara's actually growing on her (now that she's apologized for bringing the police into her home), but there's one of Neal's associates that she just doesn't like. It's Peter's boss - Hughes. Something about him makes her ill-at-ease. It's not that he was so quick to think that Neal had cut and run with the Jade Elephants, it's something in his eyes - something sad and angry and lonely.
They met by accident at fundraiser - and she decided to take the initiative. Even though she had an escort for the evening, she politely dismissed him and glued herself to Hughes' side - which was strange, since she really didn't think she liked him at all.

As to the fic: Sorry to give you such a hard one! But you rose to the challenge magnificently, I must say.
I love the depth, the distinct shift between paragraphs. You have a tendency to write long fics, but I was write in Chicago: brevity brings out a different quality in your writing, not necessarily better (I think better would be extraordinarily difficult with the level you consistently write at) but it's definitely an area you excel at.
Oh, evil temptress you!

And pairing?
Michael Westen/Aeryn Sun - because they're both practical minded, scarily competent, not afraid of killing, and with hearts of gold deep down inside. ;)

Date: 2011-03-25 06:03 pm (UTC)I am oddly not sure if I "like" Michael Westen in the classical sense. I think he's an excellent character. He's so focused on getting his life back that he doesn't see that he's wrecking the life he has. He's a man who is vastly improved by his relationships with his friends.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Of course! He's the one who got the burn notice.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I can relate to his losses and his need to make things right.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I don't play in the BN fandom, so I can't say.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
I would be more likely to ship in crossover - Michael Westen and Bryce Larkin, or maybe Micheal and Chuck, or Michael and Neal Caffrey. Or Michael and Diana Berrigan.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
No, I don't really think so. He's almost scarily perfect
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I think I'd actually run away from him. Not in dislike - in terror, probably.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
No, sadly - he doesn't.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
Yes I would - he'd interesting and that's why I like watching BN.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
Absolutely!
Michael/Aeryn Sun is impossible for me, because John and Aeryn is an unbreakable pairing. I can't imagine a circumstance where I could introduce Michael to Aeryn without my brain going WTF? Maybe because they are too much alike and from two completely different universes. But I so hate to admit fail that I'll think on it a bit and come back to you, okay?

Date: 2011-03-25 08:09 pm (UTC)Although I COULD see them having UST, but sticking with their partner or maybe having a ONS when they're grieving a real or presumed loss. ;)
