Day 7 - Fandom Snowflake Challenge

Day 7

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Hmmm, what a lovely, lovely idea!

I do my own graphics and icons and templates – and will be delighted to do a user template for anyone who asks (you provide the graphics). But there are things that I’d love to have:

1 – Fan Mixes. Even though music plays a huge part in my stories – whether inspiration for the title – or as a part of the ambiance – I don’t really link my stories to any particular song. I’ve toyed with the idea many times, but I’m an old fogey when it comes to music. My tastes are so far out of the mainstream that if I posted a fanmix, people who run screaming, or point at me an laugh, or just scratch their heads in confusion. I’d love to get a fanmix for one of my longer stories – mebbe Happily Ever After Isn’t For Guys Like Us or even We Shall Come Home.

2 – Remixes. To me, the highest accolade someone can give me is to ask if they could remix a story, use a plot point or repurpose an OC. Every story on my masterlist is fair game, even Wash the Sins Away and Minutes and Hours, two fics that I’ve previously sheltered during remix challenges.

3 – A Fanvid. This one is pretty specific. It’s something that I’ve wanted for years. A White Collar fanvid extolling the magnificence of Peter Burke to “What a Man” (either the original Linda Lyndell version or the Salt 'n Pepa/En Vogue version). If I could vid, I’d do it myself, but I don’t know how to do it. I’ve wanted this since the very first time I saw a fanvid and I still want it.
