Summary: Obi-Wan Kenobi has never known it, but he has always been the Force’s Champion, destined to suffer infinite sadness in defense of the Light. On his last turn on the wheel, responsibility for The Chosen One, the false child of prophecy, had been thrust upon him with no warning, and Darkness held the upper hand.
But this time, the Force has marshaled its power and will protect its Champion until the time is right, no matter how long Obi-Wan has to wait and how much he has to suffer.
Or,
Obi-Wan is reborn as a twelve-year old.
He wakes up on a slavers’ ship, with all of his prior life’s memories intact, and he’s bound for Tatooine with a Force-inhibitor collar around his neck, a bomb implanted in his spine, and no way of knowing what state of the Galaxy is in.
Just another day in the life of the Force’s Champion.
Chapter Summary: Obi-Wan and his grandmaster finish their heart-to-heart, and Obi-Wan delivers some truly unsettling news. Yan is shattered at first, but recovers, and the next blow hits just as hard.
Meanwhile, the High Council has come to an important decision about the Order’s most precious asset, their children, and begins calling on allies for help.

Despite writing every day last week, the wordmines weren’t as productive, just 5.8k. I had some trouble figuring out pacing in some key scenes and had to go back had to re-read a large swath already written and published words to make sure I’ve gotten it right. And then I got distracted by another scene, and then another scene, neither of which advance the key plot but were loads of fun to write.
I’ve updated the notes in Chapter One, admitting that I’ve basically got an addiction. Probably going to hit 700k before I’m done. But I’m going to get this done by the end of the year.
By the stars, it will be done by the end of the year. Please. Please. Please.

I have to admit that I am in love with Yan Dooku. This Dooku. Not the vile Count of Serenno, although as a villain, he does have his place in my heart, since of all the Star Wars villains, he was the only one with any nuance or depth. And I do love a good villain.
Hence, the vast number of words devoted to Master Yan. Master Dooku. Grandmaster Yan. I am shamelessly inserting him in the story in every way I possibly can.
He adores his grandpadawan. To use an inappropriate metaphor, he thinks Obi-Wan is the greatest thing since sliced bread. And of course, Obi-Wan is the greatest thing since sliced bread. He’s the Force’s Champion!
Do you know how hard it is not to make Yan immortal, too? But I’m not going there, because if there’s on character who should definitely not live forever, it’s Yan. But on the other hand, I can see him happily taking padawan after padawan…
Nope. Not doing that.
Grandmaster will get to live long enough to see his first great-grandpadawan knighted, but that’s it.
And in case you think I’ve forgotten about Rey, I haven’t. And Yan hasn’t either.
So, one of my distractions this week has been the reunion of Yan and Shmi. And oddly enough, they didn’t talk about their baby girl. In my head, they were going to have sex, but the scene got all angsty. So there will be another scene. Where they do get nekkid and horizontal and hell, Yan forgets protection again.

I hope you enjoyed, and as always, comments, even when it takes me a while to answer, are love.

After his third orgasm (he’s eighty-two, how does this happen?), Yan comes to his senses. "Um, Shmi?"
"Yes, Yan?"
"It’s not very gentlemanly of me to ask, but is there any chance that you are still fertile?"
Shmi is quiet for a moment. "Shit."
Yan sighs, thinking about the uptick of his midi-chlorians and the Force wanting what the Force wants.
"So what, the kids will probably figure out that I’m banging a Jedi." Shmi snickers. "There are worse things in the universe." She leans over and pops a kiss on his lips, then snuggles against his shoulder, yawning delicately. "I’ve always wanted to be awoken properly. Will you, please?"
"I live to serve." Yan isn’t sure what Shmi is hoping for, and he asks, "First-meal in bed?"
"No, your cock in my cunt."
A furious blush covers him from the soles of his feet to the top of his scalp. "As you desire, my dear."
