Summary: Obi-Wan Kenobi has never known it, but he has always been the Force’s Champion, destined to suffer infinite sadness in defense of the Light. On his last turn on the wheel, responsibility for The Chosen One, the false child of prophecy, had been thrust upon him with no warning, and Darkness held the upper hand.

But this time, the Force has marshaled its power and will protect its Champion until the time is right, no matter how long Obi-Wan has to wait and how much he has to suffer.

Obi-Wan is reborn as a twelve-year old.

He wakes up on a slavers’ ship, with all of his prior life’s memories intact, and he’s bound for Tatooine with a Force-inhibitor collar around his neck, a bomb implanted in his spine, and no way of knowing what state of the Galaxy is in.

Average output in the wordmines — 5k. And that’s with two days of not writing, feeling like dogshit, too many doctor’s appointments (I fucking hate this old shit). Anyway, we progress. I have sorted out some of the problems I have been having with the ending of the story, which I haven’t actually written yet, but having it clear in my head has been difficult. It’s a critical scene and I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. It’s a kind of "stick the landing" moment and I hope, when it finally gets out of my head and onto the screen and everyone reads it, it will be as satisfying as it feels.

It’s likely going to be Chapter 115 or so. I’m not joking.

And oh, remember back in the meta where I said I wasn’t going to write any timestamps. Yeah, I’m a fucking liar. Obi-Wan gets to go back to the original timeline and kick some ass. He’ll be 1534 years old, though, and he still looks like a brat.

Someone’s going to get mindfucked.

Not much to opine about this week. Just a few thinky thoughts.

It’s funny, I can no longer read traditional Jedi Apprentice based fics with evil Xanatos and Bruck. This is what happens when you reform the villains and make them so damn likable.

I’ve done this the other way, I’ve taken hero characters and made them villains and ruined them for my readers (other fandoms).

Should I apologize for the cliffhanger? Yes. Am I going to? Nope.
