Summary: Obi-Wan Kenobi has never known it, but he has always been the Force’s Champion, destined to suffer infinite sadness in defense of the Light. On his last turn on the wheel, responsibility for The Chosen One, the false child of prophecy, had been thrust upon him with no warning, and Darkness held the upper hand.
But this time, the Force has marshaled its power and will protect its Champion until the time is right, no matter how long Obi-Wan has to wait and how much he has to suffer.
Or,
Obi-Wan is reborn as a twelve-year old.
He wakes up on a slavers’ ship, with all of his prior life’s memories intact, and he’s bound for Tatooine with a Force-inhibitor collar around his neck, a bomb implanted in his spine, and no way of knowing what state of the Galaxy is in.
Just another day in the life of the Force’s Champion.
Chapter Summary: Obi-Wan goes to the Galactic Senate to support Queen Amidala. He has another encounter with Senator Palpatine. And he meets another old friend, one who isn’t faring so well in this timeline.

As always, I am deeply grateful for all the love you’ve given this story, the outpouring of comments on the last chapter - the guessing on where the story is heading - makes me so very happy.
276,495 words, 50 chapters
Writing has picked up this week, averaging a little less than a thousand words a day, which is pretty decent. Not back up to my usual level, but I’m getting there. I’m still struggling with what to do with this chapter, but I put aside the existential issues and just wrote and that helped.
I’m tying up all of the loose threads as I go, and that feels really good. And as threads get tied off, new ones are unravelled. Got bit by an interesting storyline from someone in the a comment, not going to say who, which will spoil things. And I’m not sure I’m going to incorporate it, it might make things complicated unnecessarily.
So we shall see.
I actually don’t have a lot to say about this chapter
Not because there aren’t things to opine upon, it’s that I had a medical thing today and I’m really pooped right now. Can’t think any thinky thoughts. I’ll save 'em for next week.
Okay, I do have some important things to say about this week’s chapter. Specifically about the Prestors.
In The Phantom Menace, Senator Bail Antilles Prestor was one of the senators who ran for Chancellor of the Republic after Finis Valorum lost the Vote of No Confidence. This Bail Prestor is canonically Bail Prestor Organa’s uncle. I thought it would be far too confusing to have two important characters have the exact same name, so I dropped the "Bail" on the uncle and he’s simply Antilles Prestor.
Agrippa Aldrete is a canon character, the aide of the aforementioned Bail Antilles Prestor.
Bail Prestor is the pre-marital name of Bail Prestor Organa, who took his wife’s family name upon their marriage.
I also want to say that Bail using spice to deal with his Force-sensitivity is directly influenced by the amazing Jessabee’s series Side-Slip. Please go read this, even if it’s not finished. It’s truly one of the greatest Q/O series ever written.
Okay, that’s all I’ve got in the tank at the moment.
Hope you all enjoy!
