The thrill wears off, fast. Unless it's a show you adore, as in this case, it's just a big pain in the neck. Most NYers feel that way about filming, anyway, and I certainly did when I lived there, although they didn't film much in my particular area. I think SVU did something on the Columbia campus - where I was, obviously - at one point while I was living there, but that's about all I can remember.
