Much like a previous poster, I never got the whole shoe thing either (but then, I have extremely small feet for my height and age--I'm actually still stuck in kid's shoes). Then, I read this... beautiful imagery, and Neal is an extremely bad boy for tormenting Peter like that, I love it.
