This was a marvelously insightful story and I'd love to find out what happened the next morning.

I think Neal's psyche has been deeply traumatized and it's like he's walking around with an open wound bleeding his self worth out. Whether or not Keller was telling the truth, his motivation, as always, was to bet Neal, not to help him. He spoke to Neal as if Neal had no options, no skills, no talents. And Neal, who was already vulnerable and berating himself for Amy, just sopped it up like a sponge.

On the island when Neal had a bullet hole in him and Peter did not have his F.B.I. superpowers, Mozzie, who still had an operational brain reminded them that they still had operational brains and that they could best the evil island overlord.

I think that Amy taught him a valuable lesson if Neal is only capable of learning it. She went along with Neal's plan only as long as it was consistent with her own moral code. She was a good person.

I just hope Neal is able to be that strong.
