My heart gets heavier with every Thursday, as we come closer to the ending. I have decided not to be critical, but to just enjoy what is left.
That being said, it’s time for The Dish, and The Dish means spoilers, so they are
NPR - a totalitarian cult?
Interpol, oh Show - you still don't understand international law.
Mozzie as El's doula - poor Peter. I don't want to think about Moz being between Elizabeth's thighs.
BMW CAR COMMERCIAL! A lot more subtle than the ones for the Taurus.
Working with Keller - just like old times (Oh, show - you are giving me so much in these final few weeks).
Madison Square Park - have they filmed there every season? Need to go check, but I think so.
Neal, working with Keller does not give you just a little tingle? Not even in the least? But there's so much chemistry there. Such beautiful memories of all the times they shared. And not all of them were x-rated.
Ah, Neal - just a boyscout! Never wants to hurt anyone, especially a pretty girl.
Euro-Peter in Bono Glasses! I need that fic stat!
(Okay, Neal as chef - I have that in my notebook!)
Keller - so NOT a charmer… And I thought that con with the girl was something they'd practiced many times before.
Keller definitely knows how to push Neal's buttons - the tension between them is epic.
I am most interested in why Keller's handler and Peter are in Neal's apartment. And whether Peter will punch Keller.
Oooh, Toppy Peter is Toppy!
Ahhh - foreshadowing Peter and Elizabeth's future.
Neal as Wiley Dufresne
"Looks like I brought a light saber to a knife fight" - One of the best lines of the season!
Score for Mrs. Burke - "oh, the man who let my kidnapper go free... welcome." Good form, m'dear! Maybe she can get Satchmo to bite him in his nasty bits.
Awww, poor Neal - so nervous. And it feels authentic - he's falling hard.
OH HAI JUNE!!!!
And I think that fish is way more than done. I think it's beyond edible at this point.
And Amy is shades of Rebecca and Neal is falling like a rock off a cliff. Poor boy, always falling for the sweet innocent damsel in distress (or in a dress). Makes me miss Sara all the more.
Oh, yuck - Frenchie is screwing the pooch. And Keller - you are soooo evil. Would you have killed Amy? Why open it knife if you weren't?
And go Amy - Neal deserved that. And a nice touch - giving her a spine of steel and having her stand up to Neal. Differentiates her from "Rebecca". And she's better off away from all the muck.
Peter give Luc the double-finger point! Love it! God - is Peter really threatening him with rendition? YES HE IS!!!!!
"He's a Frenchman who doesn't drink wine - he's capable of anything." Oh Mozzie - how wise you are!
And Neal - tell me he's rethinking his decision to leave the FBI??? Mozzie is not even trying to convince Neal that he's gone over to the dark side anymore.
Peter coming home - is Keller there, waiting for him? But no, it's Elizabeth in a LBD and killer heels.
"Let's be really late" - Love Sexy!El and of course, Sexy!Peter. Sigh - this conversation between them is presaging something… And I think I know what it is.
And that last scene with Keller - very chilling. VERY CHILLING!
A few thoughts...
1 - I unconditionally loved this episode. It was the footing for the bridge that was built last week. And best of all, Peter and Neal on the same page, working together, working towards a common goal.
2 - Mozzie, once again, had all the best lines. I need to rematch if just for his moments.
3 - The girl, Amy, was a lot stronger than I first thought. She seemed a carbon copy of "Rebecca" - but in the end, had a strong hand and a spine of steel. I feel a little sorry for Neal. Like I said in my stream of squee, he falls hard and fast for the damsel in distress.
4 - Keller is, if possible, even more chilling than he was back in S3.
5 - I have to retract my comments last week about El losing the baby. I think it's Peter losing something. There's something being hinted at - and I'm not going to speculate just yet. At least not here on the Dish.
If I do have a complaint - its how underused Diana and Clinton were this week. Mostly used as exposition monkeys - Data - Blah - Algorithm - Blah - Blah - Blah. Not part of the plot - but I did love Diana bringing El her pregnancy books and terrifying her.
And your thoughts, my friends? Be they thinky or squee-ful or sad or critical, put them here so we can all share,
