I was trying, with Jones and Neal, to explore an aspect of H/C fic (re, crying_brown's meta earlier this month).
Sometime just being there is the best comfort that can be given. No words, no strong shoulder - just providing basic necessities is sometimes the only comfort that can be given in a rough situation.
