ETA: The reference to Carvel's is an old and obscure one. Back in my distant childhood, the founder of the chain, Tom Carvel, used to do his own commercials, and one of them was "Wednesday is Sundae at Carvel" - a two-for-one promotion. He was an old guy with a very distinctive (and most unpleasant) voice:
