That was so very sad and yet, really, I could see them parting company in just such a way. I can see Peter's POV, truly, Neal has caused an amazing amount of upset and the prison stay and way he got Peter out could easily be the last straw. Peter has bent over to try and give Neal a better path to follow. OTH, Peter wouldn't be up for any move to DC without Neal. Neal has done everything he can to protect Peter and it's hardly Neal's fault that the government is full of Smoking Man type corruption and conspiracies. It was truly grim that Neal's death stemmed from his run, sanctioned by Peter, because once again the government, in the form of Kramer, couldn't be trusted. It was a sad ending to a fine friendship and I hope they find that friendship again before it's too late. I really hope we don't end the series with Neal saying good bye to Peter and El as they had to DC. Thanks.
