Wow. Just beautiful. I remember one scene from The Help which I reacted to with just despair at the f-ed up world those characters lived in that made them behave that way, and that's pretty much my reaction to this story too. Anger and sadness at the f-ed up world that made Ellen feel she had to give up the love of her life and hide who she was even from Neal. But at the same time, things are better for Peter and Neal, so there's hope, and progress.
