You know, sometimes its feast or famine, and rarely anything in between. I hear you about it being quiet enough at work to write. There have been days lately where I almost feel guilty that I haven't written something at work instead of goofing off. But, it's also nice to just say "I'm not going to write anything today." Quite liberating, that.
We're often so work-driven (even when that "work" is writing) that we feel too guilty to give ourselves a break to recharge batteries. I say stow the guilt and just have a nice day off. Go back and reread one of your favorite stories (or two or three, if you have time). Who knows? Maybe it'll inspire you when you do go back to the keyboard.
