Ah, your best beloved is from MY neck of the woods. Or should I say, my parents. They lived in Forest Hills until the World's Fair was under construction - one morning my mother (as she had told me) had walked out into the gardens behind her apartment to discover that there was a road crew ripping out trees. The road that's now I-495 runs right behind her old apartment building.
It's interesting to see how much of WC is now being filmed in the Outer Boroughs...Ancient History was shot mostly in Long Island City, they've filmed on Staten Island, they've been on location in Brooklyn. I don't think they've hit the Bronx yet, but maybe next season? The Taurus could get stalled out on the Cross Bronx Expressway and Peter thinks the tow truck's there to help, but it takes the car to a chopshop instead.
