Maybe Neal is secretly hoping Peter is tracking him? He's not really going to the extraoridnary measures he normally goes through to keep Peter in the dark.
Or maybe he just doesn't care. He's probably hoping the faster he can solve things, the faster he can be on the same page as Peter again. I don't think he's enjoying hiding things from Peter this time around.
