I'm not sure I have much to add to what's already been said, but I love the post-ep dish and I want to play too. :-)

I actually had to go back and watch some bits again (I watch live but also DVR), because I was following Marsha Thomason's live tweets during the episode (and got caught up in a couple of conversations as well). And I went back and watched the photo shoot, well, just because. :-)

Great episode, in so many ways.

Let me start with the Neal/Peter dynamic (and ongoing trust issues). While I didn't dislike "Honor Among Thieves," I did feel that the bit at the end about Neal manipulating things and there maybe being a long con of some kind seemed kind of tacked on and didn't really make sense in the context of the episode. (No, Peter didn't see Neal turning Abigail down repeatedly or making clear to Mozzie that he didn't like going behind Peter's back, but even without that knowledge the plot didn't make sense as a "long con.") On the other hand, in "Compromising Positions" the tension between Peter and Neal felt much more organic, both from a character and a plot perspective. There *has* been growth in their relationship, and it seems that Neal genuinely wants to bring Peter in on things. And Peter seems more understanding of where Neal is coming from, and unlike during the whole thing with Fowler, he listens to what Neal is saying about the possibility of whoever is responsible having FBI connections/access and doesn't dismiss it. Unfortunately, Sam wants nothing to do with anyone in the FBI and Peter is still too close to having been on really shaky ground with the bureau.

And now, some of the fun stuff:

"Testifying is a con." :-) And Neal getting shot down when he offers to testify, but then getting his chance in the end. And the lawyer asking how being a fake scientist qualifies Neal to be able to testify about the benzene. And it's not, it's being an actual forger.

Creepy baby is creepy. Jeff Eastin tweeted that they gave the other arm a corkscrew but weren't able to work it into the episode. Matt Negrete (the writer of the ep) said we haven't seen the last of the baby.

Mozzie actually suggesting that Neal bring Peter in on the whole Sam thing - he's wary of Sam (and really, what *do* they know about him)(though I give Neal a bit of a pass since Ellen told him to trust Sam with her dying breath). He is trying to watch out for Neal. And then Neal protecting Mozzie and risking the operation, the trial, and Peter's wrath. Come to think of it, all the relationship and character interaction moments in this episode were pretty terrific.

And yes, the photo shoot. I was literally LOL'ing through pretty much the whole thing. I especially loved how ridiculous Peter looked at the very beginning. And then El...Peter asks if she wants to leave, but no, she wants to direct the action and make sure Peter comes off as the Peter she knows.

Oh, and the earlier scene where Sara is calling Shepard and afterward she says she's not an "incriminating photo" person, and Neal starts to say something, and she's all, "I thought I was hitting speed dial." Interesting....

I know there's more, but I'll stop there for now - must get back to work.

Elr - hope the elbow is doing better. And thanks for continuing to do the dish, it's always my first stop for episode discussion.
