You are so right about Collins. His disregard for how Neal is returned was evident at the Cafe and then the look on his face when he was holding the gun on Neal. From what we've seen, the only other times Neal's been caught it was by Peter, who never held a gun on him, who never threatened him, who took satisfaction in "winning the game," but never in beating Neal down. I thought of that when Collins held Neal at gunpoint and it looked to me that Neal was thinking that too. Who wouldn't be afraid about going to prison but Neal never feared what Peter would do to him while it was obvious he feared Collins' intentions.
I loved this part, "Every time Collins punched him, slapped him, Neal remembered the last time he was touched. Not Maya, as lovely as that memory was. No, he remembered the feel of Peter’s arms around him, the joy on his friend’s face, the warmth of his body, the unreserved and endless well of affection. That was what kept him strong. Collins wouldn’t break him with his fists. He couldn’t. "
I'm looking forward to the next part.
Just have to add one more thing. I think that Tim DeKay should get an Emmy for his performance in this episode. He was just amazing. Totally outdid himself.
