It's actually not the traffic, but the monotony. Once I get off the Merritt/Wilbur Cross, and make the slog to the RI border, I feel like I've just gone across the entire country.
It's psychological, clearly. I've driven from Salt Lake City to Phoenix and didn't feel like that at all.
