I really like the way you showed Lewis providing just the right level of comfort and support that Hathaway could accept. And it made me realize why you love both "Inspector Lewis" and "White Collar." The characters and dynamics are parallel: Neal and James with their deceptive, protective shells over some fairly profound damage, and a love of poking their adored respective bosses with sticks, and Peter and Robbie with their quiet integrity and protectiveness. Neal has kept a certain playful enthusiasm that James doesn't have, but they are very similar. And both series let us hope that patience, loyalty, and love can be healing. (Yes, I am a real sap.)
