The New York Paley Center event was the very first time I met Tim DeKay. He was so delightfully sweet and accessible, and astonished at how many people wanted his autograph and wanted to meet him. This will always be the defining moment for me for White Collar fandom. Realizing just how lovely a human being Tim was.

Something for a small fandom/pairing/character

As much as I love writing Peter/Neal and Peter/Elizabeth/Neal, I have a very special place in my heart for rare pairings. Not just pairings featuring one-shot characters (like Bancroft or Landon Shepherd or Ryan Wilkes or Gordon Taylor), but pairing up the regular cast in unexpected ways.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Reese Hughes. There’s something about the character and how he treats people that has always touched a chord in me. I’ve paired him twice with Peter - the first in my long dormant Vampire World: Blood of Helios series, and more recently in If the Soul Doesn’t Sing (Just One Life), one of my stories for Round One of the White Collar Reverse Big Bang.

I’ve also enjoyed pairing him with Elizabeth - even having them marry in Red Velvet.

Mozzie rarely seems to get much action in fan fic. There was a push early on to pair him with Neal, but that sort of fizzled out by the end of S2. I’ve slashed him with Neal once or twice (Take a Seat, Mr. Caffrey - Preparation and Riding the Lake Shore Limited), but I’ve also paired him with Elizabeth - the aforemetioned Red Velvet story, and of course, throughout The Wonder(ful) Years.

I’m pretty sure that there are other people who’ve written Moz/Elizabeth and of course Moz/Neal, and maybe even some Moz/Peter (I’m thinking of one particular fic where Moz has fallen in love with Peter and dreams of making a home with him, maybe written in early S2? Does this ring a bell with anyone?)

Anyway, I’m getting distracted from the task at hand.

The two fics I really want to promote here are maybe the only two stories in fandom that pair Moz with Clinton Jones. The first one was written back in the day when I could actually write a complete story in 300 words, and did a whole month of self-gratification in 300 words a story, and one story for each of the 31 days of May.

Unexpectedly Perfect
Summary: Clinton Jones has unusual tastes, and it takes an unusual partner to satisfy them.

My dear friend and enabler, miri_thompson declared that this pairing was now her ultimate, so I ended up writing another story of sexual exploration between Clinton and Mozzie, and of course, it went long

No Good Deed
Summary: Moz accidentally discovers Clinton’s kink, and it is oddly complimentary to his own.

And after meeting the lovely Sharif Atkins today for the first time, it really feels all kind of weird to be promoting these two fics.
