Signal boosting tonight’s scheduled community rewatch of Out of the Box, the awesome Season One finale. It’s hard to believe that it’s been fourteen weeks since In the Wind aired, and there are many, many more weeks to go before Season 5 starts. My deepest thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sahiya for suggesting these weekly community rewatches. They’ve made the long hiatus most bearable.

In case you’ve never joined us before, the rewatch works this... )

The scheduled start time tonight is 9:30 PM EDT/6:30 PM PDT/2:30 AM GMT (that's Wednesday morning for those on the other side of the Pond). Come early and hang out with us or stay late and chat.

Because you're the only one who could change my mind.

Dailyfinance.com is a fluff site masquarding as news. It's mostly recycled top ten (or in this case, top five) lists with a distinct lack of serious financial commentary and an overload of snark.

This particular article caught my eye because it was in the links sidebar on a NYT article in the Finance Section (paid inclusion). So, in case you're interested, according to Dailyfinance.com, the top five places to avoid prosecution (and possible places to send Neal) are Croatia, Kazahkstan, Western Sahara, the United Arab Emirates and Bhutan. A word of warning, each of these countries has seriously bad human rights records, even Bhutan, which measures its prosperity in "Gross National Happiness." (Also, Bhutan only permitted television and the Internet in 1999, which isn't a ding on its human right record).

I thought it was interesting that Cape Verde wasn't mentioned at all.

If none of these countries appeal, you could always send Neal to Hong Kong. Because the last extradition treaty the US signed was in 1998, a year before Great Britain gave the island back to China, and the US has no extradition treaty with China.

Finally, for those seriously interested, Wikipedia has a complete list of countries who don't have an extradition treaty with the United States.
