Yesterday was one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time - all due to my lovely flist. The warm wishes started arriving on Tuesday night and just kept pouring it. I look at the tally and I want to just cry.

I had planned on thanking everyone in a post, but it seems a little weird to do that - some of the kind words came via PM, others were part of feedback for a story, others were sent to my personal email address. I hope I've responded to each of these individual notes, and if I haven't, I will soon.

But I do want to call out three very special people who wrote birfday fic for me and tell you that you need to go and read the awesomeness:

Title: A Clear and Present Danger
Author: [livejournal.com profile] coffeethyme4me
Pairing: Peter/Neal
Rating: NC-17
Words: ~1,410
Content: angst, anal sex, against the wall
Summary: The four years are up, the anklet's off, Neal's leaving, and neither one is exactly happy about it.
A/N: Not a happy ending here, but not a totally hopeless one either.

Title: Of Feds and Conmen
Author: [livejournal.com profile] dizzydrea
Pairing/Characters: Peter, Bancroft (Peter/Elizabeth, Peter/Elizabeth/Neal)
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Prisoner's Dilemma
Word Count: ~1800
Summary: He wonders idly if this happens to all agents who recruit CI's.

And on top of this loveliness, my dearest friend [livejournal.com profile] kanarek13 created two lovely pieces of artwork for me, which I'm not going to share just yet. One is for The Cold, Empty Pulse of Night and the other is for an as-yet unwritten story in the Wonder(ful) Years 'Verse.

So, once again, thank you all so very much for your kindness, your thoughtful and lovely birthday wishes and for just being my friends.

Title: Keep the Creatures Safe From Harm – Part Four/Four - Complete
Author: [livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: R
Characters/Pairings: Peter Burke, Neal Caffrey, Elizabeth Burke, Reese Hughes, Diana Berrigan, Clinton Jones, Mozzie, June Ellington, Amanda Calloway, OMC, OFC
Spoilers: All of Season 4, Specifically In the Wind
Warnings/Enticements/Triggers: Prison Fic, Dub-Con, Violence, First Time fic, Angst,
Word Count: ~28,000 Total
Beta Credit: [livejournal.com profile] coffeethyme4me, [livejournal.com profile] jrosemary, [livejournal.com profile] rabidchild67
Summary: Following the tragic events at the end of In the Wind, Peter is facing the ultimate penalty and Neal is prepared to do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. Even as old enemies are sharpening their knives, Peter and Neal are not without friends.

A/N: Many, many thanks to my trio of beta readers and cheerleaders, who gave unstintingly of their time as this turned from a vague idea for some dirty prison fic into a massive and angst-ridden epic. And my deepest appreciation to the ladies of the [livejournal.com profile] wcwu chats, whose enthusiasm for this story boosted my confidence and kept me going.
